Cool thread, lots of classic songs in here, but I get the overall feeling that the US is far behind in electronic dance music.
we INVENTED house music. kthnk
That might be true but it doesn’t mean jack shit, England inveted soccer but Brazil is the best team in the world.
Europe produces much better house than any other continent in the world. Look at where the top DJ’s come from.

You fool, the best house is from San Francisco.[/quote]
I was in New York City this past weekend for Electric Zoo, which featured (among others) Kaskade, Benassi, Deadmau5, and Armin Van Buuren. It was maybe the best weekend I’ve ever had. Still floating on air from the music, the crowd, the energy.
I wish I could upload some of live mixes from Trance Energy (Yoji Biomehanika, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten… etc) as well as Sensation White/Black (David Guetta, Tiesto, Dj Jean, Megamixes… etc)
IMO, studio trance doesn’t campare to the live mixes. None the less they’re still good to listen to. Great mixes, everyone. Keep em coming.
Just got back from the Ferry Corsten album release in Minneapolis at Epic. Great time. Next is Tiesto in Chicago on October 31st (aka all hallows eve). I certainly recommend people to go to that if you’re in the area. I live in Minnesota so I consider that the area.
saw armin, guetta, at the guverment a few weeks ago…and tiesto last week , both awesome.
