man i was about to get in this with the jon lajoie pop song but you bastards beat me to it. yeah, its terrible how every song is easily translated to every other song.
They could have spent hours doing a medley of 3-chord I, IV, V songs alone. (Think “Louie, Louie”, “Johnny B. Good”, “Rock N Roll” , etc, etc, ad infinitum)
I noticed when playing guitar one day, the chorus from Blink 182’s “What’s My Age Again” and Green Day’s “When I Come Around” are the EXACT same 4 chords, just a different rhythm making 2 completely different songs lol
