@FlatsFarmer RE toilet training:
I am happy to report that my son has leveled up to #2ing on the porcelain throne. He decided one day it was time, and as I predicted, “dad, I gotta poop on the toilet.” There is no hesitation or even a notification now, he just goes and does it. If I enter the bathroom I get a very respectful “Dad I would like some privacy please,” and I leave.
100% diaper free.

That’s great to hear, good job by little man. I’m glad you guys were able to get there without forcing it. Now it’s on to the next thing, and you forget all about diapers.

My daughter has been more into letters and reading and less exited math and numbers lately. So now she can recognize letters and a bunch of words, but has forgotten how to add without counting on her fingers. Limited attention span means trade-offs I guess!
On the physical front, we got her an adjustable horizontal bar for Christmas. She’s been hanging, doing leg raises and using the swing. Plus rolls on the floor.
We watched about half of the Princess Bride the other night. It was fun to see her get drawn in and enjoy it.

Once boys realize they can pee outside its always funny as they learn the boundaries. Last year my son “got in trouble ” for peeing at the school playground on recess.
