The Deficit Myth: The Biggest Lie in Politics

This is not the answer to our problem. Tort reform is and other things are. Single-payer is garbage for the exact reasons you list about our current situation.

The ones with single-payer healthcare…

Oh you mean actually understand the system and its failings?

Correct.

Funny, I and my companies have done quite well without lobbyists.

He doesn’t understand that it’s more than a binary option. It’s possible to see the issues in one shitty system without wanting to trade it for a different shitty system.

That’s ‘cause you’re an unscrupulous, no good capitalist rube clearly exploiting others.

Don’t you get it? I didn’t need a law degree to see that…

Says the person who most likely believes that the slaves weren’t exploited.

Yes a different shitty system that costs half, doesn’t bankrupt people trying to save a life and often has better outcomes. One whose primary concern is health, not profit.

It has been for every other industrialized country in the world-who have better and less expensive healthcare than we do.

This is their healthcare system, not the country.

No you don’t even understand the failings of this system when all the evidence is screaming in your face. You will forever try and justify our system as you’ve internalized the propaganda.

Then let’s outlaw lobbying.

Only someone who is ignorant of propaganda and how it works would post this in a retort.

Siding with Israel in this conflict is a tacit approval of what they are doing-genocide, twat,

Overall, you have to pretend that my retort was unrelatable. If corporations don’t have the money to lobby their influence is felt less. But there are big businesses who do lobby extensively. I believe the pharma industry has about 1,500 lobbyists. Almost 3 to every member of Congress. Do they get what they want? Sometimes they actually write the laws they have to follow. Man, GTFOH!

Once again, can’t think past 1 or 2.

Man, it must suck for you to be proven so wrong. But yeah, keep thinking it was money printer go brrr… that triggered Zimbabwe hyperinflation. Double-down on your wrong understanding, as I will get a good laugh at your retort.

And how does this relate to the currently ratified UAW contract?

Did the experts have all the newest information when doing their analytics?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/10/23/air-pollution-is-getting-worse-data-show-more-people-are-dying/

The study focuses on fine-particle air pollution, known as PM2.5, which is of particular concern to regulators and public health experts because its microscopic size means it can be inhaled and absorbed into the bloodstream. Its ill effects are only now starting to be fully understood

So you admit it started with a significant fall in production-which was the trigger. Not money printer go brrrrr…

No. A fall in production created a price increase. A price increase is not equal to inflation. Heres a definition of inflation that I know you won’t understand:

It takes both an increase in prices and a fall in purchasing power (i.e. value).

A stupid follow on decision to issue an obscene amount of fiat currency kicked off the hyperinflation part of it. So it’s not the lack of production.

No shit. The air quality has been deteriorating for a long time. This is a different point than you claimed before that the amount of pollutants emitted are continuing to increase. The latter statement is simply not true in well regulated areas like the U.S. and EU.

Keep shifting the goal posts to make yourself feel better about your inability to understand topics that require more than 6th grade intelligence.

Also no rebuttal to the points on profit margin from you. Not surprised because your argument there falls apart faster than your bartending career.

I am not sure how this logically follows, but nice try.

Define “better” because that is not what I have seen in the multiple ones I have FIRSTHAND experience with.

Many here, including myself, have talked about the issues with our healthcare system and disagree that single-payer is the way to fix it. The government you think is an oligarchy and so corrupt - you want them running healthcare? Please explain that.

Also, if the government is controlled by big business like you have said - why would government run single-payer healthcare be any better or different? Please explain with logic.

I think everyone here agrees with this and that Citizen’s United was a shit decision.

Show me where I’ve sided with anyone.

Pivot all you want, doofus. Like I’ve said before, if “Big Pharm” disappeared over night I would lose zero sleep.

You are the shallowest “thinker” I’ve ever encountered. The irony is palpable.

I wouldn’t know from this or any other response you’ve provided.

They had inflation → they printed a ton of money → they had hyperinflation to the point they had to stop using their currency and establish a new one.

Sure thing, guy that doesn’t understand basic things like profit margin.

Inflation is a decrease in the purchasing power of money. It is NOT an increase in the value of everything else. Period.
