I’m 100% certain everyone that’s posted in this thread is acutely aware of the many wrong things the US has done. There might be debate on what was or was not wrong or how wrong it was, but most if not all accept the US isn’t perfect and we all strive in our own way to improve the nation. You just hate and offer zero alternative. It’s pathetic.
You just talk. Take the Defense budget as an example. You just cry about how much we spend, but have put zero thought into how to reduce it. You just want to spend less.
Me, I would treat the DoD like a business, centralizing every shared process possible (like personnel and data management) under one umbrella and eliminate all of the excess fat. I would do the same with all of the 3-letter agencies. We could cut HC by 25% minimum, close building, possibly whole instillations. I’d scale down foreign bases as well. This isn’t 1945, we can be anywhere in the world very quickly we don’t need to be present everywhere that we are. Particularly in the Pacific.
I’d phase out social security. It’s the worst investment vehicle every created. It’s worse even than a savings account.
I’d create a catastrophic healthcare plan for everyone making less than or equal to minimum wage (even though this is really a 10th amendment issue) and a tier payment system for those after while also eliminating barriers to insurances competition that make no sense.
I’d push to eliminate lobbying and pharma advertising.
I’d reduce the scope of the federal government in every conceivable way. Most things should be up to the state anyway. Like education, why the hell there’s a education department is ridiculous.
There are a million ways to make America better and over the course of multiple threads you’ve provide ZERO examples of how you’d do it. You just bitch and complain.

No it’s really not.
The only person who gets more out of time than money when it comes to charity is the person who is choosing to use that time in that fashion (i.e. you). The intended charity recipient doesn’t receive a comparable benefit.
For example, lets say one makes a six figure salary. Lets round to $100k for simplicity sake.
A typical work year is 2080 hours (40 hours * 52 weeks). Now, imagine two scenarios. You spend those 2080 hours talking to a homeless vet, maybe cooking them some meals. Or, you just give them $100K in one go, maybe with a few stipulations in a trust of what that can be spent on (rent, clothes, job training education, etc…).
Which one is going to have more impact on that person’s life and allow them to take control of their situation?

I, unfortunately was born in a country full of greed and sociopaths. And this is helped along by the economic system we live under. Unless I want to become homeless and starve to death, I need to make money. LOL.
