I decided to crash the USMC Birthday Ball last night. I didn’t have a ticket. It was black tie/dress blues. I didn’t have a date, so I put on a slinky red dress with black lace sheath… waltzed in like I owned the place.
I got a red rose, beer stein, USMC coin, dinner, drinks, etc. Hee hee… fun night. And they say a gal can’t have a good time on a budget. I managed all of this free of charge, so I’ll donate some time and $$$ to the Toys for Tots.
Grins ~ go crash a party Renton. Or rescue a cute cuddly polar bear. ;o)

Me three! Good find!
Renee - way to go on the free party! I just got back from a bar close to my house where I have been drinking lots of free ale as it’s remembrance day here and people in my neighbourhood are damn fine at buying an old soldier a drink. (hic). So I guess we both did well!
No news as yet. I’m still feeling good and positive as always. My GP called on Friday to check up on me - did I tell you he’s a great guy? Said after Thursday when I head off to my scans & biopsy and other prodings that things will move good and fast.
Strange it may seem, but I’m really keen to get things started. I know what the possible side effects of the various drugs used are and they don’t scare me one bit. Hell I’ve had hangovers worse than a dose of chemo.
Throwing up 20 times in a day and not being able to sleep even though I’m dead tired? No fucking problem. Why? Cos I am a major bad ass and I can take it and through it all I know that the cancer is having a harder time than me.
Jesus, I don’t look at the sight for a week and you bloody come down with cancer? That’s the last time I take a T-Nation sabattical.
You do realise you promised me we could go climbing together, although your suggestion for the long cold nights made my eyes bulge, I’m still holding you too it.
In all seriousness though, I know I’m about 300 miles away, but if you need anything, just drop me a mail and I’ll be there in 4 hours or less (or your money back).
