The Best Health Supplements for an Unhealthy World

Thanks for the info. Maybe it’s worth taking even if I can’t seperate it from when i drink milk then. I’m definitely deficient. When taking 3 before bed it’d interfere with my sleep to the point i’d only have 4hrs. Somehow I still felt better rested though! Seperating them throughout the day allows me to get 7-8hrs and still feel the benefits.

Men usually don’t need supplemental iron. In fact, it might even be wise to drain it off occasionally (donate blood): INFO

Most women, however, should make it a staple (INFO HERE) …unless they’re filthy liver eaters.

Excellent write up.

I’m a huge fan of I-Well. With it, I’ve gone from the first and worst one in the house that gets sick to the last and least, if at all.

(Not that we’re constantly sick here, but with a young kid in school, more than just homework comes home, ya know.)

Be careful with iron, high levels of it damages mitochondria which prematurely ages people and makes neurological diseases more likely since without strong mitochondria, neurons rapidly die. This is thought to be one of the reasons why women live longer than men.

“Problem is, liver tastes like a used tampon on a public bus” .Well… actually i love liver. Especially made with onions and apples and seasonings, which is a traditional way of preparing it in Poland.

I used to take ZMA and thought it very helpful, but found I could get the magnesium cheaper by making my own “brew.” Mix 100g of laxative grade epsom salts with 1000g of hot water, store in the fridge, and take it by the tablespoon. 1 tbsp supplies 1.5g epsom salt which contains 150-200mg of elemental magnesium, about 1 daily value’s worth although the sulfate form is only about 60% bioavailable. You don’t need to worry about the laxative effect much because that comes at a dose of 20-30g epsom salt. It does taste pretty bad though so take it as a shot chased with something tastier.

I would love to have your tastebuds! Or maybe I just need you to come over and prepare liver the Polish way.

I’ve heard that taste perception could be genetic. Kind of like how some people hate cilantro because to them it tastes like soap. Who knows though?

I don’t dislike liver, but then, my old man used to make eel pies. Liver is something to be grateful for over that monstrosity.
