He stuck to his basic beliefs.

You’ve got a good Representative, Michigan.

His speech needs to be sent to Nancy Pelosi and all those in Congress who Voted for this fiasco:

We do apply that logic to other people. If whites start talking about blacks or Mexicans, it’s racism.

It’s one thing to criticize another group of people, it’s quite another to believe that that particular group of people is the source of the world’s woes. Mister “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” up there is the latter.

If you believe that a particular group of people is the cause of all your problems, then you yourself are the cause of most of your own problems.

I’d say even if you don’t believe a particular group is the cause of all your problems, then you are still the cause of most of your problems.

Most people like blaming. /shrug/

Bill and Earnie went to the race track and bet their paychecks on the wrong horse and we are paying for their mistakes. Our turn comes in November, vote out any incumbent with a “yes” vote.

I usually tend to disagree with liberals - but I will cross the aisle this time to agree with one on this.

I will not vote for any candidate running for national office who voted for this bill - to include the office of the President.

How about you, RW? Are you willing to give Opie the same treatment I am going to give McCain? [/quote]

I’m right there with you. I guess that means Obama wins because a lot of people that were going to vote for Mccain aint votin for his punk ass, now.

Minnesota. You don’t want to live here. It’s a liberal paradise. one of the highest taxing states. buisinesses are leaving by the bus load. We have quite a few Muslim Somalis. The only issues I’ve heard were cab driver refusing to take passangers at the airport that had alcohol, and refusing to touch pork after taking a jobs at a meat processing plants. The cab driver situation took care of itself. the union got goldenplump to work around the pork thing, which was kind of a joke.

There are some other general cultural issues like the prayer thing and washing their feet in toilets which make quite a mess in bathrooms

Quite some time ago we had a large influx of Hmung. It only took a gneration for assimilation. There was crazy shit at the beginning like 6 families in a single house, gardens on roofs that couldn’t support it, flooded basements as fish farms.

Real Representatives
Here are the great members of the House of Representatives
who voted NO to the so-called ‘bailout’ both times it was presented this past week.
These American patriots did not succumb to massive pressure to betray the People…they truly represented them.
They did not trade off the trust of their home districts for bankster lies, financial deception and hidden pork.
These people deserve to be recognized for honoring the wishes of their constituents.

All who voted for this trillion dollar theft
should be removed from office on November 4.

Mcotter voted against it for the right reasons, but Conyers and Stabenow (Mi. Senator D) voted against it because it wasn’t liberal ENOUGH.

A nay vote isn’t automatically heroic, but your point is well taken. The trouble is removing them from office will likely replace them with somebody else who also would have voted for it or against it for the wrong reasons. Not in all cases, but we are trapped with largely bad options.

I contend a 3rd party vote will put Obama in the whitehouse and hence make any chance of reform even less likely in the future after he’s done with this country with Dem majorities in both houses of congress.

This bailout deal is clearly a violation of the constitutional principle of private property rights and hence illegal, but who cares right. We needed saving and they saved us.

This is only the beginning folks. The door is swinging open now, but president Obama (I almost gagged typing that) will nail the door to the wall. He’ll be walking right into an environment tailor made for his brand of centralized power.

I was tempted to vote 3rd party because McCain voted for the bail out but, I can’t stand the idea of President Obama.

I don’t know, dh…

She voted against the “bailout”…

But Bachmann sounds like one of those “Smile-and-pray while-I-cut-your-throat” conservatives that may not do too well on the National stage.

She’s actually pretty tough. Definately outspoken here in MN and not afraid to take anyone on.
