The 20 Character Requirement

It’s pretty ironic that there are post on social media by T-Nation that are under 20 characters.

Olympic plates have their dimension because it was decided that the diameter of the plate was large enough such that one could not crush their head or neck under the bar if it fell. I cant remember where I read that though.

Also, why the hell is this taken so seriously. Is being “correct” really that important to you?

I still haven’t decided what I am going to do. I won’t be breaking the rule or circumventing the restriction. Not, sure if I will look at other sites and see if I can get into their forums. I only go to a couple of sites when I am casually online so I have never really tried to find another training site with forums like this site. I’ll probably just stop coming here and posting on here. It usually takes me a while to give up on something or someone, but when I do it’s done.

I stopped replying because there’s no reason for me to sit at the bottom of a dogpile while a handful of people bark at me while ignoring what I’ve said.

An issue was raised, I addressed it directly and laid out the policy with my first post and I defended/supported the forum’s position in my subsequent posts. I even plainly agreed with saying “this is our forum and this is the way we want it” after a few members said they’d accept that as an answer.

It’s a simple agreement. When a member chooses to post on this forum (which is a different entity than the social media pages and operates by different rules, just like your rules at home are different than your rules at work), that member needs to follow forum policies. All forum policies, the “big” ones and the “little” ones.

As I’ve said before, if anyone gets suspended after being repeatedly told “Don’t keep breaking this rule or else you’ll get suspended”, nobody can say with a straight face “I can’t believe that person got suspended after he kept breaking that rule.”

Also note, interactions between Mods/Admins and other members aren’t a topic for forum discussion/gossip/debate.

We still love you, Chris, and I’m sure nobody means to bark at you.

The 20 character limit is kind of annoying, but we’ll get used to it.

Ha, dude, before anyone else says it, even I know you’re not speaking for everyone with that. But I’m cool with it, no worries. Thanks though, I do appreciate it.

I will say that, for all the criticisms that T-Nation was losing its testosterone, I find it pretty masculine that they set a rule and enforced it just like they said they would. Cowering and reversing their stance on the matter would seem more contrary to its own values.
