I was just wondering how people felt about the latter weeks of TBT - things like the 2X18 etc. As far as I know this is almost purely for endurance purposes, or am I missing the bigger picture here?
I’m still gonna finish the routine off, but I was wondering how beneficial these were to people who have done this program.
Oh how my ego stuggles with how much weight I’m pulling on these high-rep sets
Well my lifts increased to such an extent that the weights I was doing on week 1 for 12-15 reps, by week 6 I was doing for 18 reps. Keep your intensity high and be optomistic in your load selection.
There’s nothing I hate more than high rep training, but if that’s what Chad wants that’s what I’m gonna do. I’m starting week 5 on monday so we’ll see how that goes.
It is all about working ALL the different types of Fibers and qualities of muscle. Not letting any lag behind. He is trying to get Growth and strength from all of them while letting others rest and grow.

How do you feel you benefitted from the high rep work? I know thats a hard question, I’m just interested

Thats my take anyway.
Hope That helps,

Yeah-I think that’s what it is. I felt pretty stupid doing barbell curls for 24 reps on TTT, but I guess having this strength-endruance day made three fullbody workouts per week less taxing.

I would look at the program as a whole and not seperate out high-rep training as its own entity. On some exercises, weights I was doing for 5 reps at the beginning were weights I was doing for 12 reps at the end. That, to me, is a successful program. In fact, I opted to continue it for another 8 week cycle, which went almost equally as well. I should add that I was not a beginning trainee when I started.
I’m on week 4 of the program and the high rep training definitly smokes me. I’m curious to see how much my total lifts will have gone up by the end of this 8 weeks…Let us know how yours does Ben. And I’ll share mine too…
