Hmmm. How many thousands did you donate recently?[/quote]

Even if I remotely had a $1,000 dollars of spare money I most likely would, to strippers (jk). If I had thousands to donate would I be on a thread let alone on T-Nation talking about people with millionS that are able to donate?

I’m not a very materialistic person and there are interviews of million dollar lottery winners that were poor prior that do not buy a mansion and a lambo in every colour. So what else would you do with it? He donated to his old high school and bought a brand new track field, equipment, track suits, etc.

Just saying there are SOME people out there that don’t have money and once they get it they give it out.

Can we be friends?

Lottery winners don’t work for their money. I think that does make a big difference as far as motivating them to donate, compared with someone who had to earn it by doing something more than buying a ticket.

A rich person who has earned their money has no requirement to donate money, so anything they do give is considered a plus in my book. And I wouldn’t look at it proportionally to her overall wealth, either. By that I mean, whether $250,000 is pennies to Swift doesn’t really matter. She had to earn that 250k before she could give it, and earning 250k is hard work, or at least requires serious talent. Whether she has millions more doesn’t really play into this.

Just saying though.

What you said does make complete sense. Especially working for it. I missed that in my thinking.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not dogging on millionaires having to donate I said “I wish more would dip into there millions to donate”. Not “I think stars HAVE to donate money if they have over a million dollars”.

Glad we agree. Sorry about the misunderstanding on what you meant.

No what got me was stating that $250k is like pennies and that it was merely a great gesture instead of what it is which is incredibly generous. Her donation would probably be the equivalent to a normal person donating $1000.

Those 250’000$ are Tax Deductable.

I don’t have all the details about Miss. Swift’s portfolio but it can all be deduced, depending on a series of parameters, which I am sure her private investor has analyzed with great attention.

How much in your opinion is deductable?

You don’t know what you are talking about. The fact that you don’t even use the correct verbiage is a dead give away.

But feel free to continue to use large words to try and sound like you know what you are talking about. It has worked real well for you so far.

My very friend does that every year. He owns a property enterprise and donates money every year so that he does not land in a higher taxation category.

Your friend? LOL!

I do this shit for a living, do you really want to argue with me about the IRC? The simple fact is, it is quite possible she will get zero tax benefit for that donation.

Shit may be different in Europe, I will admit, but I also don’t pretend to know how European tax codes work.

And LOL at “taxation category”. You are like the interns we get that learn a few vocab words and use them to try and sound smart, but actually look like tools because they don’t know how to use them.

I am not trying to sound smart. I used the words tax category because I couldn’t find another way to express this.

Well then, things work differently here and over there.
