Yum. Morelles. ‘em’s good eatin’, raght thar. Which brings to mind another hobby… just plain Eatin’… go’dammit.

  1. Coaching youth soccer for my son’s
    team.

  2. Trap/Skeet shooting.

  3. Old Boy’s Rugby when I can get
    motivated to do it.

  4. Fishing and hunting.

Baseball,NY Mets, everything about the 80’s except the British fag music like Boy George and sex. T-Nation is way up there too. It’s amazing how much time I’ve been spending on here lately.

Master gardener

Anique motorcycles

Waterfowl - here’s my big African gander Ambo (named after a Moto Guzzi Ambassador; a Moto Guzzi is known as a ‘goose’, get it?)

And of course, training.

GAMER
i play mostly 2d fighters like, street fighter III:3rd Strike, The King of Fighters, Garou:mark of the wolves, Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi, etc.

i also play other games like Fight Night round 3 for the 360, Call of Duty 2, and awaiting many more, in march.
yeah i quoted myself, big whoop, wanna fight about it?

i forgot to mention family guy, american dad, the boondocks, and many other comedy shows.

and smoking cigars.

I build computers for myself, and anyone who needs one, for cheaper than most vendors. The only reason I’m into that I guess is because I play alot of computer games. I’m a bigtime nerd/geek whatever you want to call it.

Music is probably my greatest passion, even before lifting. I’m a drummer and a not so good bass player.

After that I like to mountain bike(chicks dig scars), wakeboard(chicks dig wakeboards), cook(chicks dig chefs), read(chicks dig books), golf(chicks dig balls), be a computer nerd(chicks dig nerds), and spend time with some lovely females.

I work a hell of a lot so it doesn’t leave much time for hobbies but I’d be lost without SOMETHING to do!

-Kung fu, most of my friends do some form of martial art so there are A Lot of “discussions”.
-reading about politics, history, feminism.
-reading anything else I can get my hands on, I read at least 7 fiction books a week and several nonfiction. I normally have about 5 or 6 that I am reading at any one time.

-dancing till the sun comes up to drum and bass. I do this one less often than I would like to.
-sewing. I think I have to count this one as half of my wardrobe is storing boxes of fabric and patterns but I am hopeless at completing things- manymany half-made items lurk. This does not stop me buying MORE fabric and patterns in the deeply held belief that This Time I will finish it. Occasionally I surprise myself and actually make a complete item.

  • My choir, thus singing(30 hot women and me the commander is a very decent incentive)

  • Pool. The man’s sport.

  • Astrology

  • Folk dancing

  • Welding, electronics, contruction, central heating(this hovers between work on the side and a hobby)

  • Dating and relationships. I read and talk a lot about this every day.

Besides some obviously gay hobbies I’m a loud-mouthed, cowboy-boot wearing, swearing bastard though, so that makes up for it.

I am a weekend equestrian and love to compete in hunter/jumper or dressage shows! I also teach cycle classes at a local gym!

Cartoons (Family Guy, Simpsons, etc)

Eating (I actually enjoy gorging in the dining halls)

Destroying my dorm in subtle and not-so-subtle ways and pissing off my RA.

I enjoy women hunting too. I just hate the bars around here.

And on occassion getting so plastered I can’t remember my name or why I have creature’s from the black lagoon in pictures on my phone.

These are a few of my favorite things…

Been playing guitar for more than 15years… get paid for it too… thats one of my “things” I spend waaay too much time on… the other is, my computer! I just got a new one, old one is 10years old!

man, its addicting! looking into Photoshop, as I want to have some digital photography skills…

Counter-Strike is a hobby I guess you could say. I was cal-I back in the 1.5 days of the game if anyone is familiar with it. If you’re not, it’s one step before Professional, CPL.

I love cars too. I own a black 2000 Mustang GT and my brother just got a black 2003 Lancer Evo.

And always, spittin game is a hobby of mine hahah. You know, hookin’ up with bitches.

No kidding? What grows in your region? I have seen some humongus forrages of morelle from around there, but we never get anything like that around here.
What has been your best find so far?

A fungophile! Yay! Best find so far–giant bear’s head on a nurse log. I’m hoping to keep harvesting it yearly.

Morel season is awesome just minutes north of here and chantrelle is also quite fine. I’m originally from the PNW, and I miss the boletes. Doesn’t seem to get “soaking wet” enough for them here.

I’m determined to try hunting in Michigan this year–I hear it’s outrageous.

What does the rain bring for you?
Don’t lie. Yall are looking for the purple cap shrooms to trip on. You’ll find them in cow patties on a cool, damp night.

Tons of stuff. Last year was prety dry, so we didn’t have as much or as big as usual, but I have a few great valleys of old growth oak and beech that put out boletes, tons of sulpher shelf, griffon frondosa, honey mushrooms, aborted entoloma, brick cap psylocibe, inky caps, blewits, and for my buds that party, I have an old elm log that sprouts a couple of pounds of big laughing gyms.
In a good year, there are a couple of areas that you can’t even set your foot down. Too many others to list that are un-edible. Lots of amanita and corts.

Biggest jackpot so far was a 70 lb. griffon frondosa. I usualy get a couple of 10 pounders off of this one old oak, but I checked it one day and there it was, a mammoth. It took months to eat that thing.

I found a big tooth type shroom this year but couldn’t tell if it was a bears tooth or hedge hog, either way, it was very good. I’m glad to find out that it may be back next year. It was also the first one of its type that I’ve found so far.

Pulling shit apart and trying to put it together again

Designing awesome stuff that never gets built

Scavenging, recycling and storing stuff to tinker with, then never get to tinker with it. Ie: stainless steel piping, pumps, motors, circuitry, lights, sensors, glass pipey things, anything “usefull”. Nothing gets thrown out.

Since uni i havnt had a chance to tinker, used to build scientific equipment. Zone melting refinement coloumns, all manner of electrochem stuff, starting a spectrograph thing that fell on its face and wasted money (still working on it), tesla coils, rail guns, RF stuff… anything i can play with

Counter-strike source, day of defeat type gaming.

Reading books.

Distracting myself from real work with social issues… & Growing plants.

my hobbies rock.

No, we’re too far north, but there are a bunch from that genus and a few others that will do the trick. I haven’t tripped in a long time, but know a few who still do.
Identity is tricky though. There is one around here that is very outstanding looking, but a bunch that have deadly look alikes.
