I’ll donate my $50 again. I know you think I’m one of those dicks who puts their team on auto-pilot, but I swear on my only good testicle that I’m trying my best every week.

On the upside, I’m the two time defending champ of the other league I’m in with Derek542. Suck that![/quote]
:stuck_out_tongue:

I am going to have to limit my FF to just two leagues this year.

AHH… This may be a dumb question, but, I paid last year right?

I’ll donate again.

Hey guys this is my first time being in a fantasy football league. Just looking for some pointers. The guys im playing with have in the past gone after quarterbacks and running backs first should I try to go after top teir wide receivers and tight ends and pick up some ok running backs and qb’s later? By the way im not in the T-Nation league so you wont be helping the enemy by giving me advice. LOL

all depends on your draft position. The ‘best player available’ strategy is generally best early on in the draft. In most leagues, there will be at least 1 TE, WR, RB, and QB taken in the first round, so it’s hard to say without knowing when you draft what position you should be taking early.

Need to know the scoring system of your league

These are the settings for offense. I can start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 flex, 1 def, 1 kicker.

Offense

Passing Yards:1 point per 25 yards

Passing Touchdowns:4 points

Interceptions Thrown:-2 points

Rushing Yards:1 point per 10 yards

Rushing Touchdowns:6 points

Receiving Yards:1 point per 10 yards

Receiving Touchdowns:6 points

Fumble Recovered for TD:6 points

Fumbles Lost:-2 points

2-Point Conversions:2 points

Thanks for any help guys. What are some general strategies that you guys like to employ?

It seems as if your league is a relatively basic scoring league. What I suggest is you take a Running Back who is a dual threat at both running and catching passes (Matt Forte for example depending on where you are drafting). There are very few every down backs as most teams employ at RBBC approach. With that being said if you have the opportunity to draft an RB who should get the lion share of carries and catch passes, jump on him.

QB is somewhat devalued in your league, I feel you can wait on taking a QB until rounds 3-6 depending on the run at the position. In one of my leagues for example QB gets 1 point per 20 yds passing and 6 pts per TD thrown. If your league does not employ PPR (points per reception) you can also hold off on Receivers. If I were you I would corner the market on RBs that run and catch the ball.

Yeah I was thinking depending on my order of going RB first round. then WR second round, and then another RB the third round maybe like a Bishop Sankey if he is available. If by chances Jimmy Graham is available in the second round should I go for him since he is far and above most tight ends or go with a D. Thomas or the like?

I think Sankey is too high in the third round depending on your league size of course. Sankey has to deal with Mccluster and Green and should be a true RBBC situation. You certainly cant go wrong with Jimmy Graham or Demarious in the second round but with your league seemingly a bit weighted towards RB I would take RBs first two rounds and then go WR in the third.

I’m down for an open slot.

I think you have to take Graham if he falls to the second unless you get a pretty good feel that no one has that on their radar then hope for the third I guess. Mid-second round I cant see anyone left on the board that would be a better pick than Graham though.

Alright guys, I reupped the league a few of you have signed up already. Ill give the return teams time to sign up for a couple of weeks, If I dont hear from them or they bow out the open spots will be first come first serve.

Any rule changes?

Anyone want to up this league to a cool hondo?

I am down to take an open spot if none of the teams from last year sign up. I know I have been MIA for a little bit (because of work), but I would love to get back in the action.

Hope all of you gentlemen are doing very well.

Are you really drafting Tuesday?

edit: Wednesday

Draft date has been changed to Thursday August 28th @ 815pm EDT hopefully that works for everyone. only 6 teams from last year have signed up so far

As a poor ass student a hundred would be beyond me. If the majority want to do that though I’ll withdraw.
