T-Nation Fantasy Football League

Im not arguing, Im doing my job as commissioner, it may be in your eyes petty but Im still going to question the trade because you are giving up nothing.

Like I said Bell is fine, but still will be limited with Bush around, and your giving Rainey RB2 Status already? Off of what? Vick has put up better numbers than wilson this year.

Seriously your giving up bell and for Bowe and Vick.

I understand this is a small money league, but I am not gonna just let lopsided trades go through just because its 50 bucks.

But hey Im not arguing either.[/quote]

No Berry mentioned Rainey COULD be RB2 or worthless. i didnt say he was. Petty was the wrong word. Im in 3 paid leagues so I enjoy just as much as anyone else. I know you’re doing your job and I appreciate it. You can cancel the trade.

Im not going to cancel it, I said possibly the league would have to vote on it. I still havent heard for the other team in the trade

D Bowe sucks, but it isnt his fault. Have him in another league. As long as captain checkdown and I can only gain 10+ on a through if it is a crossing route to Avery is at QB, D bowe has zilch fantasy value.

BTW some of you guys still owe me money. Also when sending it to paypal, dont pass the fees on to me. Our post is missing some lose sheckles right now.

And FUCK YOU very much Ray Rice.

While I think the trade is in favor of Drone Strikers, I wouldn’t vote against it. Bowe is seriously bad this season, and it’s not going to change due to Alex Smith and Reid’s play calling. He’s a boom/bust at most… hell so far he has been average-or-bust. IMO Bowe right now is comparable to Mike Williams of TB for rest of season… i.e. not someone you can start on a weekly basis.

Vick is obviously tearing it up but he’s a huge injury risk. We all saw that on the last play of the Chiefs game, it could be Nick Foles time real soon.

I disagree with Matty on Joique being ‘just’ a back-up. While he’s more valuable in PPR, he’s simply putting up points regardless if Bush is playing or not. The Lions play him in a lot of snaps, and Bush as of now is a big injury risk (even though he’s supposedly healthy). He also gets a lot of TD looks. At this point I would put Joique’s value at around Lamar Miller/MJD/Ridley/S. Jackson.

As for Rainey I have no opinion.

could just have all trades voted on?? doesnt seem like there are very many made anyways. two this early is pretty unusual.

the first trade seemed fair, the second a little lopsided.

i guess it was vetoed or cancelled?

In my worthless opinion, you either vote on all trades or you dont vote at all. From player ratings to league management, I like to see what the pros from places like ESPN, Yahoo, and Fantasy Freaks think or say because they get paid to watch almost every damn game on tape and give their professional opinion in fantasy terms. And most of them hold to the idea that you generally shouldnt get involved with a trade between two people unless its something stupid like Peyton Manning for Stephen Hill.

Generally, those trades happen at the end of the fantasy season when someone knows they are either out of the season or in the top 4-6 spots. None of us know what a player is going to do. Bell may become a top 10 back and Vick may be out for the season after this coming game. Or Bowe may come back to fantasy domination and Rainey is a forgotten memory. We can speculate but thats all we are spitting out of our mouth(or fingers when typing). And thats not even taking into consideration what a person needs and what he can give away without it hurting him much. But to wrap it all up, Matty if one of my favorite posters on here and I think hes great pick for the commish job.

Well first thanks…I will allow the trade to go through since most other gms did not respond and the ones who did either didn’t answer the question didn’t mind it or thought it was a little lop sided. Personally giving up a bona fide fantasy starter a struggling wr 3 weeks into the season for a good but limited back in bell and a complete unknown is not a fair trade. But I’m in the minority and beans hasn’t responded.

I have no problem with the trade. I of course don’t think there is any collusion between the two GMs and part of fantasy football surely involves being able to pull off a trade where you think you’ve got one over on the other guy.

I was out of the office yesterday.

Sorry.

Here is my take:

I don’t like Vick, and I have no problem removing him from my week-to-week choice tree. I have 2 fantasy leagues, 2 pick-em’s, a 2 year old and a career. I just don’t have the time to research Wilson over Vick. Plus it is the Eagles and Vick likes to get hurt 3-8 weeks a year. Him for Bell is solid seeing as my RB situation was as piss ass poor as it is.

Rainey for Bowe is a toss up IMO. I figure they could amount to the same in the end, and I’m not ashamed to say I think Dobson will be a stud before long and have zero reservations about removing Bowe from my flex spot so I can start Dobson.

In the end, like a week ago I announced I was looking for a trade, and Ditka was the only one interested so I took what I could get.

If people want, we can trade back and I can try and find a different back. I’m not mad either way.

Jeez guys nobody should get mad… The trade went through so there is no further discussion needed. I’m in 4 leagues with a demanding career and life as well…this whole issue took approximately 12 minutes out of my day. Not a big deal…but I am commissioner and will do my job whether the league is 50 or 5000 bucks

I appreciate the comments from you very much to be honest.

I’m not implying other people arent’ busy, but I think you under estimate the second guessing and obsessing I do over this when I have more than one option to start a dude, lol.

Hey I’m a dog lover you know that I hope Vick breaks his face and gets a new strain of the AIDS next week lol

man my team sucks. I’m starting to find out I’m really bad at drafting with these 14-16 team leagues, lol.

Yea my team also sucks. But I did pay my dues today.

I’m in a 14 team league and I was freaking out his past week about how crappy my team was. And then I looked at everyone else and realized they too had crappy teams. A few studs and then a bunch of meh and a couple blah hahha

I blame the lack of quality RB’s left in the league

That’s why I stack myself with RBs and get a couple of the lower tier WR!

Yea I can see that, but still RB’s are just not the same anymore. To inconsistent anymore.
