Exactly, you need to go based on how you feel and then use the labs as a goal post, make small changes and confirm with labs. Once you find your sweet spot you’ll know it, order labs and you’ll know where you feel best.
Temp at 6:30am was 96.7…will post afternoon temp
Your hemoglobin and hematocrit are too high. I would donate blood.
Yes, I’m doing that Monday. My blood pressure was up a bit as well…
Just finished donating…didn’t realize they were open today.
96.6 @11:30
You’re 2 degrees off from where you should be, you’re hypothyroid. I believe this is why you feel so bad, most that have thyroid issues who start TRT often feel worse since TRT attempts to restore metabolic rates that the thyroid cannot match.
Upon waking you should be 97.7 and 98.6 at 2pm. TRT will do nothing for you as long as you have a sluggish thyroid. fT3 must be low.
I will bump up my iodine intake, I took 2 12.4 doses, ate and took a 20min power nap. I went to the gym and felt great…could have stayed all day…I also as stated before donated blood this morning…Hopefully I’m on the right track…Should I take another double dose of iodine this evening to get me up to 50mg dose or just do 25mg and see how it goes?
Iodine supplementation fixes slight iodine deficiency, your temps suggest you’re more that slightly iodine deficient. I doubt supplementing iodine will be enough to bring your temperature up to 98.6.
Is worth the time to investigate T3 web purchases?
I’m also taking zinc as well…but I get it…is there a forum rule against listing names of sites? Not links just names to get the nod of legitimacy of product?
Is there a rule about referencing sites and their legitimacy as long as you don’t post links?
There are no links to sites/blogs that sell supplements. Asking about a site or brand, in general, is fine within the context of TRT. (It’s not allowed in the Pharma forum.)
Thanks…for clarification…it’s hard to know where to go
Just got off the phone with my doctors office and they are asking me to stop taking the test for a few weeks, due to the elevated red blood cells. Not sure what to do as they know my T will plumit below 250…Not sure if I should jump on the iron site for T3 and AI to see where it goes. Maybe I’ll start to feel better, or start forkin out the cash to an endo…
This happens when doctors start guys out on too high a dosage. You never fully described your dosage, please don’t list ml, list mgs.
.50 ml could be 100mg taken from a 200ml vial or 50mg if taken from a 100mg vial.
I will check when I get home but pretty sure the vial has 200 on it.
The elephant in the room cannot be ignored.
There are reasons why we ask for all available labwork.
HTC=56.2 is way too high and dangerous.
Do not let your self get dehydrated ever and drink water for fasting lab work.
Take mini aspirin ASAP to allow for better blood flow, makes red cells smoother.
Avoid iron fortified foods or supplements: flour, rice, pasta, breads, mixes, vitamins should be iron free men’s formula. Read labels.
High dose iodine expected to increase TSH, so TSH results not actionable.
High HTC can reduce oxygenation and lead to organ damage/failure.
- Headaches?
- Can you here blood pounding in your ears?
- Could be why you are dragging ass.
Donating blood: Your donations can be refused if blood is too thick.
You need to dump some blood.
What is resting pulse and BP?
TRT supervision is meant to be explicitly screening/looking for this problem.
Some are forced to reduce T doses.
Frequent dosing to avoid spikes/peaks also needed.
That was all the labs I had…I agree something is going on, I had high blood pressure at the time of my draw…but all was fine when I donated blood on Saturday and all the levels they checked were good. I don’t mind dialing back but they know it will drop as it has every time before. They don’t think there is anything wrong with my thyroid or my Estrogen. I would think if my test was that high and my thyroid was functioning properly and with my clean diet in a 500cal deficit I would be dropping fat like crazy…but I’m not, one would think my metabolism would like it was at 14…
"They don’t think there is anything wrong with my thyroid "
That is exactly the problem and why you need to respond to thyroid issues here. More oral body temperatures needed. So far you are cold if you are getting proper temperature reading, assuming that talking, walking and drinking has been avoided for a while.
