No… you know you’re fucked when you realize your choice is between trusting Assad and Putin, or Kerry and Obama.
This is so fucking sad. Putin is literally wiping the floor with the GodKing.

Maybe if he spent more time trying to be a leader and less time on The View, Daily Propaganda and on his way to the 19th hole the fucking Russian “president” wouldn’t be making him look like an Alynskite organizer.

Oh wait.

Oh shit, we posted mins apart, and your wasn’t up yet.

Wasn’t trying to steal your thunder.

There is a multitude of articles, from sources of varying credibility and bias. But I don’t think you can fault my choice of the Christian Science Monitor.

Somebody remind me…WHY does the United States government support these al-Qaeda-allied Syrian malcontents and mercenaries?
Look at what happened w/ the MEK. First they were a terrorist organization, but then they became useful in a fight against a common enemy aka Iran and Hezbollah.

I think Israel is pushing harder than the US for this, but TBTB can’t be happy with how things are playing out either, especially the tentative outlook of the of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency.

If it doesn’t lead to WWIII, I think bringing down Syria, Lebanon, and Iran would probably be a “good” thing. Countries have been screwing around in the Middle East for far too long to stop now and at least push things into the next cycle where the region is a bit more modernized even if they do hate the US. If it falls apart in the future, so be it.

They should get the Saudis (if they are not out of oil) and Qataris to fund the whole operation, then let them figure out how to distribute the spoils of war. The spice must flow and they are pretty good at handling that business.

theuofh that is hilarious!!!

Countingbeans, there is some sort of delay in my posting, no big deal. I’m glad its getting read/seen. Its embarassing flat out. Putin, a Communist Dictator, is doing a better job at leading than our Democratically elected President…

I won’t deny that Putin more than likely has a hidden agenda, but what he’s saying is 100% true. And as a blog said, this is changing the international situation. The US is losing its spot as the international arbitrator, and Putin took a big step in making Russia the successor.

I discounted the last two players you mentioned, they can both be found cowering under the desk in the Oval Office, thinking of their next move.

Kerry should be removed for his “unbelievably small action” comment alone.

And Urkel should be regulated to valet parking the cars at the White House, with his red line comment.

We are supposed to believe Assad will give his chemical weapons to Putin (probably the guy who gave them to him) ?

Hey, can we get Putin to be the American president? I mean, if we’re gonna have a Commie as a leader, might as well have a competent one.

Just FYI: Vladimir Putin is the democratically-elected president of Russia.

I hear he wrestles bears and rides horseback bare-chested. That’s damned manly! Almost romance-novel-esque.

In all seriousness, the couple times I went to Russia things are well organized. The cops are dirty though, and they are just as dangerous as the “bad guys.” But folks seem to still have pride in their country (not saying we don’t of course). What really saddened me though was the long train ride from Moscow to Yaroslav. The scenery was beautiful all except for what were quite literally huts on the farmland where people lived. Shandies, barrel fires, the works. The view from the city was quite different.

But, from my understanding, Putin is improving their economy and bringing them up to a respectable level. And if nothing else, he does a better job speaking without the teleprompter than our guy.

I get the feeling Putin has a cooler head than Obama.

Let’s not forget where Snowden is after Obama asked for him back.

For all of Putin’s vices…and you don’t get to be a top-ranking official in the KGB and the Communist Party without cultivating some vices…he is quite an effective leader. He also strikes me as a lot more intelligent and well-informed about history, strategy, and statecraft in general than the mockery of a president that this country is stuck with for the next couple years maybe.

This is gold.

Holy motherfucking freeze-dried monkey balls. That was the best thing I have seen all week.

This thread has officially accomplished its objective. Thank you, Maximus. Thank you.

Can someone share what is gold? I can’t see videos.

Also, apparently Snowden was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize… can anyone confirm?

If you compare Putin and Obama side by side, Putin comes off as a seasoned statesman/politician - he oozes confidence, competance and, for lack of better term, BALLS. While Obama comes accross as little more than a community organizer with a good speech writer who draws ill thought out imaginary lines and lacks the testicular fortitude to lead a group of girl scouts.

And he totally lives up to the mandates of the Russian constitution too, at least officially.

No third term for him, oh no Sir, he put a term of prime ministership in between his second and third term.

Cold as ice.

Then again, the environment he made his career in was a tad different than the Harvard Law Review.

If Assad goes back to his bullets, bombs, and grenades, the US will stay out of it…

Yeah. If he uses gas again we’re going to show him how to REALLY kill people. If we got our way over in Syria we’d bomb the living fuck out of half the country and then roll in there afterward and start selling McDonald’s and Marlboros to everyone lucky enough to survive the initial onslaught. The American Dream is alive and well and if you disagree we’re going to fucking KILL you until you’re a believer.
Sounds good to me… just saying.

Not a fair comparison. Those girls can be downright snippy!

Don’t you have a smartphone you can watch videos on? Or a laptop you can use at Starbucks? Or an Internet connection at home?

As I recall Japan has free Wi-Fi in numerous coffee shops.

You always seem to be on T-Nation at work. How do your employers feel about this!

“Shigoto da yo! Shikkari hatarake yo!”

I could explain the video, but it wouldn’t be nearly as funny. Find a way to watch it. It’s hilarious.
