Switched to EOD Injections. Hematocrit Went Up

I have also updated my original post with my simple formula to remove confusion as well.

That’s hilarious about hating Grapefruit. My wife taught me that the skin is horrible tasting and now I peel off not only the outer shell and the pith, but I also now remove the clear skin and only eat the fruit juice filled pellets inside of the fruit slice and it tastes way better. At least for me lol. It does take to long to eat it this way though lol. They also taste better and less bitter on the counter vs in the fridge. Unless you plan to save them 1-2 months then the counter won’t work.

Good luck finding a way to lower yours HCT, hope you get it figured out.

I have bad news for you: that fibrous, bitter part? That’s the part that has the highest concentration of naringrin which is what helps to lower HCT (for some). You should start to eat it and I bet your results will be even better.

I used to take the whole thing (excluding the skin) and put it in the blender with some water. I’d pulverize the whole works and chug the thick, bitter mess. It’s the only way I could choke down the damn things. :joy:

So what do you do? My only qualm with regular phelobtomy is tanking ferritin

Oh my god I will try that nasty shit and let you know how it goes lol.

This is the one thing I watch for as well. I also always hated it because I felt terrible for 5 days after doing it. Do you have any idea what your Ferritin is right now?

No idea. ordered a TRT panel online, and didn’t include ferritin

But here’s the thing. I got a CBC just a few weeks prior and my HCT was only 45…

so in just 2 week it went up 5 points

Here is 1/24/2021:

HEMATOCRIT : 45.2%
HEMOGLOBIN: 15.8 g/dL

Here is 02/04/2021

HEMATOCRIT : 50%
HEMOGLOBIN: Hemoglobin 17 g/dL

Phlebotomy is a temporary solution, and not an altogether practical one. And by temporary I mean like a few weeks of relief. This isn’t polycythemia vera, there’s no underlying condition causing it. The thing that causes it is what we voluntarily inject into our bodies. Until you stop that you have to expect the problem to persist. Either you’re one of the lucky ones who gets relief from naringrin/grapefruit and lowering the dose or you end up where I am, which is trying experimental drugs that have shown to be more kind to HCT. But eventually I’ll have to take a break from all of it, I suspect.

Since my TT is likely at 0 (not literally, but close enough) I may simply come off all androgens for a few weeks, take a breather, and then begin very low dose test u once a month. From there I’ll add all the other goodies for my blast(s) when it’s appropriate. But for now I’m waiting to see if the 0mg/w testosterone dose has helped bring me back down a little bit.

Doesn’t take long. Same thing happened to me. Going from 1 IM per week to just 2 IM per week raised mine. As has been stated, pretty sure that’s normal. HCG raised my HCT the fastest however.
