Maybe they do it to avoid becoming like Sam harris, a parody of neo-atheistic stupidity. I feel stupid for ever thinking that guy had 2 brain cells to rub together. He’s running around like a maniac claiming everybody is in a cult, (wait for it) but him.
According to him, if covid came around and was completely different than it was, he’s confident his idiotic prognostications would have been correct. And he has TDS at a level that makes msnbc broadcasters blush.
So rather than becoming like an unhinged moron, maybe they off themselves because they don’t want to become the mockery that he has. And hell, if all it is, is a dirt nap, then there is no harm anyway right?
If they are wrong, they pay an awfully high price for being wrong. Maybe it won’t be so bad if they are not dicks all their life, but uh, that seldom happens.

It’s a fairly weighty question, but the remedies for these types of depression are illuminating. People who spent time around nature, with friends and family, work meaningful jobs and lead a fulfilling life in a healthy social environment and experience just the right amount of stress are usually immune to these kind of maladies.
In other words, the less sun you get, the more you’re isolated from friends and family, the more you have to hustle stupid jobs while feeling like an atomised ant, the bigger the chance of becoming depressed.
If we’d want to maximise depression, we should just keep doing what we’re doing now.
Multicultural hellscapes, rampant capitalism+socialism, political idiocy and anti White hatred.
