I have yet to meet a black individual with the following names:
Bush
Clinton (the president does NOT count)
Reagan
Ford
Nixon
Kennedy
or Eisenhower
I have met Carters and Johnsons, though. I think though, that it has less to do with taking a president’s name and more the idea of taking a white slaveowner’s name and then just not changing it after they were freed.
