Strength Oriented Cycles

I am going to start two 6 week cyles to increase my squat and i believe it’s a good idea to divide my cycle into two 3 week cycles:the first one of a high volume and lower intensity and the second one the reverse.I was going to do the standing good morning to prepare for the second cycle of squatting and i was wondering what rep range to use. Which is better to start the cycle with 5 sets of 5 or 2-3 of 10-12? The weight could be the same for both.
