I took a third test, but it was saliva based. I’m trying to find out how they compare since the numbers don’t make sense even after I unit convert. From what I gather from the above numbers it looks as if in a nine month period of taking T gel on and off my hormone issue got WORSE!
Okay. my wife just reminded me that when I got that blood test I had stopped taking the T gel (not cream) cold turkey. My insurance from work had run out the month before and I couldn’t afford a refill. So I had stopped taking it about two weeks before this test. So it was probably what my body was producing now due to the gel having shut off my production. I’m almost out of T cream now so the same thing will happen. How long should it take to restart my own natural production if I’m taking tribulus to increase LH? Any ideas???
Yes, you shut yourself down for the second lab test.
T4 and T4 are best done as fT3 and fT4. T4 is low. Are you getting iodine in table salt? Eating sea food? Get cold easily? Is your neck thick or puffy where your thyroid glands are? Any discomfort there? Any lumps? Does doc palpate there?
We often see thyroid problems and T problems together.
As a general rule, endos are the worst, urologists have a well deserved bad reputation as well.
I do eat plenty of table salt. Back about ten years ago something odd happened. I was cold all the time. I was working in South Florida at the time at a call center. It was summer…maybe about 95 degrees outside. I went to my car and sit in it with the windows closed and no a/c running just to warm up. I did this for an entire week. I never popped a sweat. It’s as if I just couldn’t get warm enough. But after that time it never happened again. I did take thyroid hormone one time just to see what it would do. It made me very irritable so I stopped.
My neck looks normal as far as I can tell. No discomfort. Man, I’m a medical mystery…
Just a note worth mention here. If you are having trouble affording your T gel or cream the inject able Testosterone Cypionate is around $60 for a three month supply at 100mg/week. Hell Iâ??m paying more for my fish oil. Get your doctor to prescribe the Cyp instead of the Tgel. If it was Androgel you were using the price they charge for that is a crime. I am curious what the compounding pharmacy charged for there mix.
I had a problem with fatigue since high school and the only help I got until TRT was a prescription for ritaline. No one ever thought to investigate my hormone levels. Thank god for the internet and everyone posting on this site.
Thanks for the info, GeoBob. And thanks to everyone on here. Looking back on the past 12 years I think that hormones were my main problem. I was depressed and put on psych meds. My depression never went away. From antidepressants I got put on anti-anxiety meds, bipolar meds, you mention it and I took it. 6 months ago I stopped all of them except for the T cream ($135 for a 3 month supply at a compounding pharmacy). I changed my diet…less sugars more protein and fats, and my depression has become manageable. I wish my hormones had been checked first before the psych meds.
for some reason actually taking vitamin D has made me like this but also extremely tense and nervous. I stopped taking it. Keep an eye on it to see if it make things worse.

Ditto. Something about oral vitamin D f***s me up.
Vit-D can create calcium imbalances as a symptom of kidney or adrenal problems. So this might be a call to do some other metabolic lab work. I do not know what one feels in these situations. You can make 10,000iu per day with good sun exposure. One might then not feel well then either. Always consider that tablets have a lot of material as fillers that could possibly be a problem.
