I was about to make a thread myself wondering somethings about this.
I dropped my E2 down to around 5 back in February because I thought I was high. Long story short it’s been a very up and down rollercoaster since then to the point I’ve had to leave work I was so sleepy and having almost flu like symptoms like sweating like crazy.
I had bloods about 4 weeks ago and test was at 1,100 and E2 was 9. I was taking .25 AI twice a week. Since that blood test I increased my test from 200cc every week to 240cc and 250iu hcg EOD and no AI until last week’s 2nd shot I took .25 in fear of rebounding to much.
Basically I’m just curious how long does it take to come back up? It sucks to bring a babe home and can’t get it up.
For the record, I still feel as if I’m low, extremely sleepy most of the day, dead dick, when I sweat I sweat my ass off, constantly hot, low libido. Any opinion of advice would be appreciated.
I wish there was a helpful solution to get your E2 higher faster. You have probably have thought of this already, but you might be an over responder to AI. I know I am, and I went through the same crap your going through. In my post to Highbull (above) I explain what I did to get a better handle on AI dosing, check it out and see if it makes sense for you.
Best of luck!
Yeah I saw that, I suppose I will try that and I seem to be an over responder for sure and I will try dosing smaller, when and if I decide to do AI again. I fear taking the .25 last week set me back, but like I said I expected after 3 weeks I’d need too.
I know it varies person to person but man I genuinely expected to be feeling back to normal after increased dose and no AI for 3 weeks. My lifts are still good and I look good, but this inconsistent libido and blunted mood has got to stop lol.
I felt GREAT when I started TRT+HCG a few weeks ago. Then my dumbass started messing around with aromasin. I’m slowly starting to feel better. I’ve dropped the HCG, and am just planning to let me body level out on 150mg T cyp/week (injecting ED).
Just as a heads up, once you level off you ,might want to watch that 250 HCG EOD day with 200-240 T. You could end up suffering on the other side of E2. I’m sure you know best, but as aI say… just a friendly heads up.
I don’t know what my e2 is without the AI and at this dose. I’ll check again in August, just out of curiosity, but if I feel good, number won’t really matter
Your right! But, if you ever adjust dosing or add HCG it would be great to know your “number” so you can back on track without having to go through trial and error.
Right, if I change things up again, I’d take new labs to make sure I was on track
I definitely agree with you, I need to keep that in mind for sure. I’m sure you can imagine the short sighted nature I have right now trying to resolve this. It’s definitely in my head. I appreciate it though I just wanted some opinions on how long it could take and if at 3 weeks it was still possible I wasn’t up to my sweet spot yet.
I don’t know the exact answer to that question. But, I would assume that with that dose of T, plus the 250 HCG you’ll be “up there” in 3 weeks. In my case, I’m the opposite. I’m at 175 weekly but only for about 3 weeks, up from 150mg. Presently, even a small amount of HCG 150 IU once a week is pushing me to high on E2… The sides I’m getting tell me I need t o drop the dose of T, by 3mg (I’m guessing), then I’ll see how I do there. So as you can see I need to go a little lower.
I feel your pain on this one. I did the exact same thing, bottomed out my E2 and felt terrible. Seemed to come back up somewhat quickly but took a while to get back my libido and erection quality. I went from 13 to 33 in 10 days and that’s with .25mg AI in between as well. I’m on a similar dosage, 200mg wk and 700iu hcg wk. At that high of a dosage plus HCG, you could go to the other side pretty quick and no way to tell if it’s low or high without labs… both have similar symptoms.
My advice is to get your hands on some Cialis to get you through these times when you have issues in that department. My TRT doc prescribed it to me without a second thought. It was expensive though but others get theirs from online research chemical sites. I guess you can’t post the sites names here, though.
I pretty much low dose it every day now, less than 5mg. It works great, I feel like a rockstar in the bedroom. Increased vascularity as well. Only side I’ve noticed is it makes my nose stuffy which I counteract with a nasal spray.
For the sake of keeping things simpler, I’m going to start at .25mg EOD, totaling 0.875 weekly, half the dose I was previously taking. I got to start the AI back up again… today that gyno flare was a little more prevalent, as well as noticing a little sensitivity in my left side where I’ve never had issues except at the beginnings of high estrogen. Also, the increase in libido I had started to notice around day 3/4 after stopping AI had ceased. I dosed .5mg today, I’ll prob dose .25mg tmr and begin the EOD protocol from there. Besides the gyno and now libido going away again, I still feel much better mentally and energy-wise. Hopefully, after a few weeks on this AI protocol, everything will level out. I’ll keep posted and will be checking this thread often!
When I was taking an AI I felt like garbage. Fatigue, drop in libido, serious joint issues. Ditched the AI about two months ago, in part b/c more doctors in the Optimization Space feel it is downright dangerous to use for TRT purposes (lose cardio protective benefits that Estrogen provides, lowers HDL, negative impact on bone mineral density, etc…). Since dropping I feel significantly better, joints getting back to normal, libido/erections back to where they were when I first started TRT. One of the concerns, all these clinics are putting guys on AIs, so in 10-15 years when these men start having heart attacks it is going to get blamed on the Testosterone when it is due to the AI and keeping Mens E low. I also dropped the HCG, zero need for since I am no longer trying to have kids.
Men at their peak T levels when they are young don’t need an AI, so why would a guy on therapeutic doses need???
A lot of good stuff from Dr. Crisler, Dr Rouzier, Dr Nichols, Dr Kominiarek, Russ Scala, Jay Campbell, etc… on why AIs should be avoided.

Thanks for your post! I’m just getting on the bandwagon, for zero AI, almost three weeks now. I’m having some sides, but not to bad. I’m taking .70mg E3D and I’m doing HCG only 75IU daily. I don’t want to boys to shrivel up to nothing. The good news is sex is way better, so I think my dosing is about correct. I’ll do labs at the end of week 4, and make whatever adjustments I need to.
Speaking of Dr. Crisler he was my doc until he passed away, now I’m with his friend and colleague Dr. Nebblinger he seems pretty good, but I’m still getting to know him.
Hey can I ask you, when you first got off your AI did you go through a balancing thing, where you experienced a few sides, and in a few weeks they leveled off or did you just go from bad to great?
I read somewhere 75IU daily HCG does not do a thing
I had heard that, interesting. I know 125 IU was the “recommended” daily amount, but I was getting and E2 bump, and I wanted to lower my E2 so I lowered it to75IU.
Thanks for the heads up!
That should read hadn’t heard that.
My bad…
