Still Feeling Depressed/Low Libido on TRT

Hi Tom

I hope you’re well

Have you completely stopped using the Ai yet?

You might want to check your cholesterol, it might appear as if you just finished a steroid cycle because of the excessive Ai use

So three months ago I got my blood work done and my RBC and hematocrit was high and he said to retest me in two months which I did and the second was even higher. The doctor said I need to donate blood and retest to see if it comes down, otherwise he said he would have to take me off testosterone which would basically be life ending for me as my insurance does not cover HCG or anything that would get my body anything close to self reliant again. I am currently taking 100 cypionate and 1 arimidex both 2x a week. Is it possible that the increased injections even if its the same total amount could have raised my hematocrit? Also does estrogen increase or decrease hematocrit/hemoglobin? Also he mentioned that they “may not accept my blood because of being on TRT”, has anyone encountered a problem donating because of TRT? This whole thing is really stressing me out if its possible that they wont accept my blood and I have to get of TRT.

Bloodwork 3 months ago
WBC - 4.5 (3.4-10.8)
RBC - 5.84 (4.14-5.80)
Hemoglobin - 17.6 (13.0-17.7)
Hematocrit - 52.2% (37.5-51.0)
Platelets - 256 (150-450)

This months bloodwork
WBC - 5.1 (3.4-10.8)
RBC - 5.94 (4.14-5.80)
Hemoglobin - 18.0 (13.0-17.7)
Hematocrit - 53.8% (37.5-51)
Platelets - 278 (150-450)

My suggestion. Take it or leave it. But it’s good advice, maybe the best advice you’ll ever get

Drop your T dose to 120-140mg per week.
DROP THE AI COMPLETELY
As in zero AI. Like don’t take the pills. Don’t split the pills. Don’t lick the pills. Lock them in a drawer for 6 weeks and don’t touch them.

Give it 6 weeks, then Check your CBC, total T, SHBG, E2.

I agree.

Do you think lowering the dose and stopping AI could lower CBC in 6 weeks without a blood donation? Do you recommend that dose once per week half of that twice a week? Also my urology doesn’t check my shbg, what is it a marker for?

Yes. Lowering your dose will lower your red blood cells. For best results stay hydrated and cut diuretics like caffeine and alcohol while you’re trying to get it under control.

If I were you I would take 55-60mg Test C or E every 3 days.

SHBG shows how much of your total testosterone is bound up vs free. You can calculate how much free test you have from it. You can also measure free T directly if your doc prefers that. Both are fine.

Way too much anastrozole, the perfect dosage is none at all. I donate, but I don’t believe mentioning I’m on TRT is relevant.

Take 2.5-5mg daily cialis for the depression. It should pep you up and stop the nonsense in your head. As for dosing, quit the AI, and let it ride.

Does cialis affect libido negatively? By let it ride are you suggesting staying at 100 2x a week w/o AI?

Your hematocrit will drop with a lowered dose, and that is way too much AI for any TRT dose.

Yes, we’re all saying drop the AI.

Not that I have noticed. Having a full flacid is actually libido enhancing for me. Helps keep things healthy. For lowering hematocrit, drink
Water when you wake up and hydrate all day.

Just looked up what cialis is lol I thought you were talking about an antidepressant I hadn’t heard of

Haha. I started taking Cialis before TRT as a way to help me get a through a rough patch, and noticed that it uplifted years of depression almost immediately. TRT simply changed everything else.
