Agreed. I really hope that he is ok whatever the case may be. The man is more influential than 90%+ people know.
Best wishes to Jobs and his family.[/quote]
and as that type of person, I 100% guarantee that he put the proper brains in place to keep Apple hitting unrivaled levels of his success, in his absence.

Why do you say that? Last time he left Apple didn’t they struggle until he came back? No one else has Job’s ability imo

They weren’t doing well when he left the first time.
This time around he’s leaving while the company is doing very well. Different situations.
I don’t really have a problem with Apple products. I have some IBM clone that is gas powered and the letter e, h and numeral 4 are all missing and the computer refuses to write the word ############ even though it’s a word most every heterosexual man uses every day.
It’s the people that like Apple products too much that bug me. People with enough computing power if you include their iPhone and Mac Book Pro to run a small country but just surf the net and write their novel on it.
Jobs is suffering from Islet Cell Carcinoma. It’s not pancreatic cancer per se, but a rare form that attacks certain cells in the pancreas and liver. Most people with this cancer will eventually need a liver transplant.

That’s awful.
You have to admit the guy has done a lot for consumer technology in the past decade, even if you don’t like Apple products or think he’s a dick.
-Apple is the dominant player in the mobile device market, and I believe they have only captured about 20% of the market share. They are primed at the pump to take advantage of the emerging international market.
-Apple is the dominant player in the touch pad industry with the iPad. Nothing comes close.
-Apple is the dominant player in the MP3 player space.
-Apple revolutionized the music industry with the iTunes music store - yet another cash cow for them that isn’t going anywhere.
-With the second biggest market cap in the world, Apple has an inconceivably strong balance sheet with ridiculously powerful revenue streams already in place that aren’t even close to being mature.
-STEVE JOBS ISN’T DEAD YET. He just resigned as CEO. He’ll stay on as the Chairman of the Board and may be able to focus the majority of his time on solely innovation and design.
With the strength of the company as it stands today, I could see Apple easily having another 10-15 year run of immense profitability and success, only because of the sheer genius of Steve Jobs.
Without Steve though, the company is nothing and will only be slowly marching towards its inevitable death.
