It wasn’t funny. Neither is killing stingrays because of it.
This - YouTube isn’t funny either - yet. Maybe later after time has passed it will be. Most will be able to enjoy it in time.

Give it some time before making fun of his or anyone’s death. If he’d been eaten by a crock - it would be different, but in this case he wasn’t doing anything idiotic. Only laugh at those who’s death qualifies them for a Darwin Award.
The guy did what he did to get attention for his cause - yeah sure got it for himself too. But the idiotic things he did brought attention to the need for wildlife management and conservation so it was a good thing.
