Is it from lack of sleep because you’re working every 12 hours?

Yes and No, the schedule can be rough, but it’s just the working out of town one day, staying in a hotel until there is a train to bring back, then when you get home you are trying to continue where you left off, after a while you lose days.

I understand that. I just want to find a place where there’s some kind of established routine and you don’t deal with the aspects of the “real world”, at least temporarly. So far I’ve thought of the army, monastaries, eco-farms, prison (not the best one, lol), and not much else. Is there something more?
Nope. None of those will work.
Try this. It’s an old spiritual axiom of sorts, and I’m not sure of its origin, but it seems to work for me- When I am in conflict with my surroundings, It is I who is in conflict- Not my surroundings.
What I get from this is that it is not the world around me that needs to change to accommodate my discomfort or state of un-ease, It is I who needs to change.
If you can work that into a regular repertiore of thinking when things are getting sideways on you, life will get a little more manageable.
This for sure.
Also op if it is routine that you need you can create this yourself.
Is it time to think that you need?

What I need, as Skyzyks said, is to run. The life I had has ended. I would like to start something new in a different place, but i don’t have the money to do so. That’s why I would like to find a place that would basically give me some shelter, at least for a while. And purpose. If I were of the spiritual kind I probabaly could join some place of faith, but I’m not.
Maybe you should become a ninja turtle … all you need is to like pizza and live in the sewer … oh and probably do some heavy hallucinates so you can imagine that the rats around you are gigantic talking ninja masters…plus the hallucinates will probably help you cope with the fact that you live in a sewer…

NO. I DID NOT SAY RUN. I said CHANGE. Internal changes lead to external results. Changing locations just puts the same person in a different location.

There are the Corps- AmeriCorps and the Peace-Corps.
Its basically paid volunteering. I’ve known a couple of people in the two of them over my life.
I met a group of Peace Corps people from Europe working out in the mountains of Kauai, helping take care of the local plant life and pulling invasive foreign species. It was a pretty cool gig, my group and the Peace Corps group would share a large cabin up there during the week while we were working, and we were free to do what we wanted on the island on the weekend (I would usually just go back to my folks house, but they would stay up at the cabin and drink and cruise down to the beach.)
And I know an Americorps dude who got assigned to work for Habitat For Humanity, which is a pretty cool gig for him. I think they hooked him up with a truck so he could get around.
Neither of these pay very well, but I think its enough to get by while you figure out whats next.

This.
When I had to “change lives” (even changed screen names here) a few years back I did this. Worked like a charm. It’s amazing how much easier life can be when you stop trying to fight against it all the time.

You got that right I am forever blue.
When I go, I’m gonna take my bow, tackle box, and tent, and go somewhere malaria free. I’ve got a real nice spot picked out, but I’m not saying where.

Yeah, I know, that’s not what I meant, I meant to say that you know how I feel, the urge to run away. If I will or not, I don’t know. Thanks people.

This.
Read Emergency Sex and Other Desperate Measures: A True Story From Hell On Earth, in the event you think it’s going to be a bed of roses.
Aside from the Corps, there’s the UN (Emergency Sex is about UN operatives), or NGOs.
