Ok thanks guys
When i did my tsh test it came back all 3 times at 2.4 or 2.39.
T4 free 9.9
T3 free 5
My endo said these were normal but i read that 2.5 is the upper limit and that not all doctors follow this?

Itās not going to get better.
Before jumping to conclusions and starting a forum pile-on on your doc, he is likely just being conservative and trying to show that you tried the protocol for a decent amount of time before trying something else, given it is your FIRST treatment for your condition. While 6 months total sounds a bit long, itās only 2 months longer than the 3-4 months that many often recommend before changing protocols. That said, I would be concerned that he suggested TRT wouldnāt work without trying it first.
I donāt know if a pituitary MRI is standard protocol for general physicians (?), but many Endoās may run the test and perhaps run other tests as well. I believe if your bloodwork did not show high/out-of-range prolactin then you would not have an indicator for Prolactinoma, and so your doc likely didnāt bother addressing your pituitary. Iām not sure you should dwell on this as a negative/misdiagnosis as a result, but I am not a doctor.
When I came off Clomid I did 2 months of taking nothing before starting TRT in order to have a full reset (this probably was not necessary). They started me at Testosterone-only at 100mg/week and I still felt like crap for the first few months (I injected 50mg 2x/week). I also did not get any āhoneymoon periodā for the first few months of TRT like others on this forum have reported. I was on 100mg/week for 6 months and only started feeling better on month 3-4, perhaps due to not having any treatment for low testosterone for 3.5 years so my body needed some serious rebuild time. I did not increase my testosterone dose until after month 6 (to 120mg/week), and slowly increased every 3-4 months to reach 150mg/week now (1.5 years total time on TRT). Remember that every individual responds differently.
I think your other questions were answered on restart potential/etc.
Thank you,
May i ask your age and what was your test level before clomid or trt?
My labs came back with clomid; test of 24 nmol / l
Compared to 11-12 before.
Estrogen 130 compared to 70 before
As a Licensed Medical professional,
I do not feel Clomid should be taken on the regular. There are too many potential issues such as vision loss etc⦠doses over time = increased risk. You get minimal benefit for a risk that most people realize isnāt worth it.
I did see BF% etc⦠listed. you can also be causing some of your own problems. I would complete more labs over at-least a 6 month time frame before starting any hormonal therapy considering your age.
Thats just my 2 cents.
While your total T looks great, this number doesnāt mean much in isolation. How are your SHBG levels? At the end of the day, what matters is how you feel. A decent hormonal profile doesnāt mean much if you feel like crap.
Here is my before clomid
Testosterone 12.7
Free T 247
SHBG 33.6
Estradiol <70
Prolactin 6.0
LH 2.6
FSH 3.7
This is after Clomid 2 months
Testosterone 24.8
Free T unknown
SHBG 33.4
Estradiol 124
Prolactin 4.9
LH 4.8
FSH 5.1
Looks like Clomid didnāt skyrocket your SHBG levels, at least. Your free test levels are probably pretty decent. You might want to meassure your IGF-1 levels as well.
Again, keep in mind that having the free test levels and muscle mass of an alpha man means very little if you feel bad. ![]()
Okay
What do all readings mean though?
