Squatting With A Narrow Stance

Does anyone else who competes in powerlifting contests employ a narrow squatting stance? I am getting ready for my first competition in a few weeks and am concerned that my narrow stance (shoulder width) is going to affect judges’ decisions on my depth. I moved my stance in a few years ago as a result of some hip flexor exacerbations, and at this point, do not want to move it back out.

Thanks for the help,
T

Most narrow squats are usually ATG.

If yours is then you should be made in the shade.

If it’s not ATG and you’re worried about depth then you should have worked it before you were set for a comp.

Get a box that’s at the right height for you to break depth and practice on it everyday until your comp (light to no weight on off days) so you know you can hit it.
