Spirit Animal

Porcupine? Psh. A badger will actively attack a lion, not just count on his ‘armor.’[/quote]

They’re just mini-Wolverines.

Cat’s are the shit. I’m a fan of the weasel family, too.

Liger baby. Part tiger, part lion. And contains magical powers.

Here we go… because they steal things for fun, shit everywhere and taste pretty ridonk when cooked on the barbie.

Oh, and I hear the ferrets also make decent pets, too.

I love cats as long as they have a good personality. My mother had this terribly evil cat - it hated the entire world, never looked happy, stalked you across the room, glared at you from corners. As it got older, it started taking dumps in shoes and on pillows.

Needless to say, this cat is no longer with us.

I’ve known several people with spiteful cats that make a habit of urinating specifically on their clothing. For some reason, this always makes me think the person did something wrong.

I also have a friend whose cat eats holes in her sweaters along with the clothing of anyone else she happens to fancy at the moment.

BTW, the original “Spirit Animal” title was a complete joke, but it’s cute that you all are playing along. I was just referring to what pets you actually like to keep and why.

Roger the Great

he’s a little shy.

If you have something like a dog, it may pick up your traits, which is another reason why they’d be my last choice of a companion. Who the fuck wants something that panders to their whim like that?

The only thing you can do with a cat or a parrot is establish things that they probably shouldn’t do, such as biting or destroying massive chunks of your house, or pooping on your computer monitor. Other than that, they’re their own animal.

Oleena, have you ever had a dog? This might sound silly, but dogs are some of the best people I know. A good dog is a true companion, while a cat or bird is at best a funny creature that shares your living space.

That being said, some of the qualities that make dogs such great pets make for not great human traits. Unwavering loyalty and unconditional respect might make a great Glenn Beck fan, but otherwise its not great attitude. That’s why my spirit animal is the wolf. Well, it’s what I hope my spirit animal is, it’s most likely a turtle or something stupid.

Charlie. He just finished bashing a toilet paper roll against the side of his cage because he wanted to snuggle. It apparently tired him out.

Oh yeah, thats Jasmine in my post above. She’s so cool the Simpsons even did a song about her.

I have had a dog.

Have you ever had a parrot? They take the whole interaction thing to the next level and refuse to be loyal if you don’t deserve it.

I can’t say I have. My mom has a few birds (Parakeets, I think) and she adores them. Perhaps the Parrot is significantly different, but the word loyal doesn’t seem to apply to these birds. Maybe in the sense that they allow her, and no one else, to handle them. It seems to me they just fly around and make noise.

So what kind of experience did you have that turned you from dogs to birds?

I truthfully don’t mind dogs; they just seem to have more drawbacks than other pets. They lick and chew things for hours (the noise is a pet peeve), bark in the middle of the night, their shit and pee is a pain to clean, they require daily walks, and they smell if you don’t bath them every week. I wouldn’t mind having one if someone else took full responsibility for it’s care.

Look at this sweet l’il bitch. She’s godamned gorgeous and shits Tiffany cuff links.

Yeah but I was talking about real dogs.

Pfft, reptiles and snakes are where it’s at. No noise, and they get used to you and love you in their own way… Like to use you as a heat source.

then again, that’s my choice.

Eagle because it fights for freedom.

Because whats wrong with being the scapegoat? Somebody has to take the blame when shit goes wrong.

as to oleena’s pet question. I like my giant schnauzer. doesnt shed, loves to job / run with me. and is bat S**t retarded at times (can always make me laugh)…
