Off the top of my head: collectivism, protectionism, statism, environmentalism, political correctness…possibly more but you get my point.

Environmentalism as in the philosophical belief that heredity is less important for human development than social surroundings or environmentalism as in natural conservationism?
If the latter: obviously it can be taken overboard, and often is. But the our actions as they affect the natural world on which we depend should always be considered through some sort of environmentally-conscious prism. The hardcore crowd oversteps its bounds, but to argue that the movement itself is somehow doing great and substantive harm to American society, or that it deserves eradication, is ridiculous.

To my mind environmentalism is an idea that the environment should supersede humanity.
The environment is a collectivist nonentity – abstract and undefinable.
Rather we should be more mindful of property rights and the “environment” will take care of its self.
