If you are admitting that more take home pay is better, then you have already admitted that the lower taxes in the US are better. Isn’t 70/130 better than 50/100?
What is the income tax in the states these days? I currently pay about 33% income tax, is that high or low compared to USA?
10% is the lowest, however with all the other non-income income taxes like social security and ect. It is up there, as well as consumer taxes which are misplaced badly.

England is like .5 to .75 of the way there.
Well with my tax bracket and if I spend all my money I am calculating in paying (myself individually) 43% in taxes. Not close to Germany with 53% at Hitlers peak, but getting there at least we are not like FDR had it at 63% of income taxes!
It is highre in Germany because social security is noit counted as a tax, there is a 20% VAT and the taxes on gas make one liter cost 1,4 EUR.
Yes, I am not familiar with Germany’s current condition, I was specifically referring to Hitler’s National Socialism.

Oh, the Nazis only needed around one third of the GDP for their state during peace time.

I am pretty sure that most nations today are much higher, I know that Germany is.

I believe norway has many taxes ontop of the income tax also. Something like a 25% VAT tax.

It never works as a form of government. The fact that opperant conditioning is the basis for 95% of human behavior, it is precisely why it will never work. It is simply our biology that makes it impossible for something like communism to work. It can only work in small numbers, very small numbers. You have to know the people you share with, or your survival instincts will take over and make you pissed off.

I presented an argument that says that our human nature, the biology which drives us makes communism / socialism an impossible life model to be functional. You need something better than your word that it’s “patently false”. Prove me wrong.
Look, it’s difficult to have a discussion with you when I say ‘communism is communism’, and you say ‘no communism is socialism’. And then I say ‘social democracy is social democracy’, and you say ‘no, social democracy is socialism’, and I say ‘wait, but isn’t communism socialism?’ and you just tell me there’s a biological effect that prevents communism/socialism.

If social democracy = communism = socialism, or whatever, then what do the swe(EEEEEEE)des have and how have they not all starved to death? If anything, the existence of western and northern european states should suggest that whatever biological opperant you’re espousing doesn’t cause people to lie down and die the moment their tax rates hit 50% and the government runs the healthcare, educational, postal, oil and aviation industry.
