You called the police, that was the right thing to do. But a few things you have said disturb me. First of all, you see two black men assault a woman, and you assume that they’re trying to rape her. And then you say that they’re “probably Nigerian” and Nigerians are “notoriously aggressive.” I don’t know how you can tell if someone’s from Nigeria just by looking at them; it’s difficult to tell a Nigerian accent and a Ghanian accent apart even.
Maybe everything you’ve said is accurate, but I’m glad you didn’t go back and try and dish out vigilante justice when you have no idea what actually happened.
How do you not know this wasn’t a fuckin’ trap? Soon as you guys pulled up and got out, 5 more black guys could have came out, mugged all of you muthafuckas like nothing.
What if one of them had a gun? All it takes is one guy who’s drunk or wired on drugs out of his mind, who’s already in a violent mood get even more aggressive and start shooting.
I don’t know, that’s just a sketchy situation. You called the cops let them deal with it, I say.

Also being from the peoples republic, I have to agree with Rek. You probably should’ve parked the car nearby and called the Gardai.
I think it’s more probable that these girls provoked a response from the black guys(but obviously violence wasn’t exactly preferable). Girls around Cork seem to have this attitude that they can do and say what they want after a few drinks simply because they are girls.
And there is still an underlying current of racism around here that would definately arise in a heated drunken confrontation.
Again, I’m not saying beating the heads off the girls was the right thing to do, but you should consider that the girls probably weren’t all that inncoent.
No guys should ever get away with throwing a woman to the ground, that’s all I know. I don’t care what was going down, I would’ve stopped. There are a lot of dead people with good intentions, but a lot more dead people that could have been saved.

These lads are right.
Now a bit of advice, join one of the many mixed martial arts classes in the city just in case you might get attacked someday, it’s great to be able to defend yourself and you will know what it is like to take a blow to the body. I know people who are looking for others to join them for cage fighting competition if you interested.
