Viewership down 19%
Well, ESPN’s subscriptions are down too …
I’ve only watched one game so far this season. And I’m not consciously boycotting the league because of CK, but the cumulative weight of all of the recent years’ bullshit just saps my enthusiasm. If there’s anything else I could be doing besides sitting in front of the TV on a Sunday I’m going to do it.
ECU loses TV coverage after a number of band members kneel/refuse to play the anthem. Free speech goes both ways.
It’s even worse for the band members since it’s your job to play and if you don’t want to do your job, you shouldn’t be in the uniform. Could I be a band member and refuse to march or play the halftime show?
Randy Moss and Charles Woodson were great on the field, but I don’t find them super charismatic as broadcasters.
Sean McDonough is a seasoned broadcaster, good for him to get a big time job. But dude is boring.
Really? I actually had been pretty bullish on what I’ve seen of Moss so far on the air.
I am not saying it’s the sole reason. But the flag protests have turned off a lot of people. There are actual grassroots movements to boycott the NFL for this reason especially among military vet’s I have talked to.
I cannot say this accounts for everything, but I don’t think the correlation should be dismissed.
I think people are just plain tired of everything political (I am). And football for many of us is a respite from politics. And many of us don’t take to kindly to having over-privileged, over-paid, babied, pampered, kids (basically) tell us what we should think and feel as if we didn’t know there were problems in the country.
But really this was media driven. They had to make yet another story about race because race sells. If nobody mentioned it or paid attention, I don’t think anybody would have been the wiser and life would go on. But race sells, bring in the experts and the talking heads. Let’s start shouting at each other over what a spoiled brat, frat boy, hasbeen, QB who has never felt the slightest tinge of oppression in his life, does, like he knows a thing about real life.
He’s in Sunday against the Bills.
Possible viewership spike?
Fuck him…
Doubtful. Politics aside, they just are not a good team.
I thought everyone would like to see him take a hit.
As if there were any doubt he’s a racist piece of filth, he is now supporting black supremacist terrorists:

His time is running out, he is playing like shit, and doubt any team will want him. He may find himself with plenty of free time to pursue the social injustices he is whining about.
Yup, no team is picking that contract up with how shitty he is playing let alone the media circus that will follow.
You don’t protest injustice as a multi-millionaire by shitting on the very people standing on the front lines and sacrificing their lives for the umbrella of safety that permits us to continue to pursue justice. It’s asinine. If you want respect then show respect. Period.
A whole lot of red in that chart:
What I find funny is, Tim Tebow takes a knee in the end zone to thank his Creator and the media shit on him. Krapernick takes a knee in protest and the media fawns over him.
Fuck him… He sucks, his team sucks and he’s an idiot.
