Shoes Thrown at Bush in Iraq.

Poor taste.

The dislike of Obama has nothing to do with skin color for the majority of his dissenters. They are mostly just sore losers.

If the racial undertone was so horrible, he would never have been elected. Also, Obama has a higher approval rating for his handling of the transition thus far that that of either Bush or Clinton.

I aggree that there’s a lot of people who don’t like Obama because they voted for McCain, but from what I see (being a non partisan from across the ocean), there is a lot of racial hatred towards him, people just don’t have the balls to admit it i.e. all the people coming up with stories about fake birth certificates and having islamist ties, it’s all a smoke screen for their racial hatred.

If they admit it, they’d be lynched in the street, so they disguise their hatred as being pro-republican instead of being anti-black.

Let’s be honest, even if they were thinking it, they’d never admit it on a public forum, or in any other public setting.

If you can’t see that it exists, even in the slightest, then your the ignorant one, and your deluding yourself.

good accuracy and there was speed as well.

it definatly would have hurt!

Hard to admire the throw when Bush dodged it so well. He even put his left hand up like wesley snipes dodging and counter punching.

I’m ready to see bush in the Masters UFC. With his quickness and aggressiveness he would fuck some shit up.

I never said it didn’t exist. I don’t think that it is as bad as you appear to think it is. I have traveled extensively, and can say that race relations can appear much worse in many places where they like to sit in judgment of us.

Anyway, this thread had no talk of fake birth certificates so I’m not sure why you want to bring your self-righteous attitude here. There are plenty of threads over in the PWI forum that discuss Obama’s heritage.

Also, if it is so bad here, why would the biggots feel the need to hide behind being pro-republican in fear of retribution?

I don’t dislike Obama by any means, but it is really annoying when the critics are attacked as being biggots.

Exactly!

I myself never thought I’d see a black man in the White House (not in my lifetime, anyway), I think it’s fucking cool.

Even though I was rooting for him to win, I still thought he was gonna get shot in the head during his victory speech in the park.

That post you quoted wasn’t directed at you. More at the person who said I was ignorant for thinking there was any racial issue towards Obama.

And in no way did I turn this, into a thread about Obama, that happened a few pages ago before I even posted here.

But the fact is, it did turn to an Obama hate thread very quickly. Whether it be political hate or racial, I’m merely stating that from my point of view, a lot of the comments seemed racially motivated.

I’m sorry if I offended you, or anyone else with my comments. I’ll keeps my opinions to myself next time.

While Obama was brought up, it didn’t turn into an Obama hate thread. There are plenty of those over in PWI. Bush would be brought up in a thread about a shoe being thrown at Obama.

Which comments were racially motivated???

There were plenty, most recenty the ‘secret muslims with laser beam eyes’ which you were so quick to jump on to spin into your own little joke.

Kal-El? Sounds pretty foreign to me, and everyone knows all foreigners are also muslims.

Whether my opinions are dumbass or not is your opinion (which I respect), and I’ll post my opinions whenever I like, whether you like them or not.

Although it’s unlikely, we could end up aggreeing on something, next week/month/year, so you shouldn’t be so quick to be rude.

You shouldn’t be so quick to be self-righteous and arrogant.

I feel strongly about having the ability to criticize Obama without someone deflecting it by shouting racism.
pushharder wrote:

I charge racism. Sheer and simple racism.
The UK political system IS racist, VERY racist at that!

There will never be a non-white leader of a major political party here, even though each political party (except for the BNP) has a number of multi-cultural MPs, and I can accept that fact.

Several Black and Asian MPs also openly started prior to the US election, that the same thing could never or more importantly would never be ALLOWED to happen in the UK.

We just accept it and can admit it. But even after Obama has been elected, it kind of pisses me off that so many people can’t accept it.

That’s all.

Thanks for clearing that up. Here in Scandinavia, throwing shoes at people is a sign of appreciation and the highest honour one can bestow on you. Lucky that the ever-insightful news media take the time to note this discrepancy.
