Shoe Test

I was looking at Metal squat shoes, wrestling shoes, and other various types of non-weight training related shoes and came across racing shoes.

I had never really thought of them for lifting before but they are usually made of high quality materials like leather and have flat soles.

I chose the Alpine Stars 2011 Tech 1-K for my first “test” pair.

I will post up after I try them out in the gym.

Anyone who’s squatted/Dl’d in racing shoes post your experiences please.

Maybe If I get bored I’ll squat in my SIDI Vertigo’s and let you know. HA

Shit dude, you have to be like 0% body fat; I can’t even see you in that pic.

Masterful first post sir! I tip my hat to you! Cracked me up

Didn’t go over my head…Both responses were just stupid attempts at being clever.

For anyone who wanted to know the shoes work great. Solid construction, comfortable, and lightweight.

EDIT: I said a bunch of mean stuff, not directed at anyone in particular but it was dumb so I’m erasing it…

May I ask WHY you want to lift in Alpinestar casual shoes ( those are NOT race shoes BTW) when there are a vast selection of legitimate weightlifting shoes available?

I have SIDI race boots and would NEVER consider wearing them to lift in. Would they work, maybe but it’s just weird man.

What Strengtdawg said. If you want a cool, casual, all-versatile shoe to lift in check the Otomix trainers - Otomix make good shit for stuff like that.
