SGHP Critique Please

Thank you CT, much appreciated as always!

To me it looks sloppy. The extension doesn’t seem too bad though. I dunno, lol.

Rep is at about 33 seconds. You’ll notice I fudge up the first attempt and just go for the second one. Just wasn’t satisfied with this rep. Too heavy.

I am not qualified to critique your lift, but I do want to ask about the buckets. Looks like you have empty 5 gallon buckets stacked on each other. How much weight can that handle? I have been balancing the bar on my bench and would like to do something else because the way I am doing it sucks ass. If that will hold some weight, it looks like the cheapest way to go.

These buckets have held over 400 pounds without cracking or bending or giving at all. I have dropped heavy cleans, snatches, and high pulls on these buckets for a long time, and they barely even have any scratches or marks. They work very well! Plus buckets are obviously very very cheap.

Thanks. I am sold.

Well, the video is 10 seconds long… at least the one I’m getting

Yes, sorry. I edited the video a little while ago so it just contained the 1 rep and not me loading the bar and strutting around :stuck_out_tongue:

At howie’s suggestion, I bought buckets for the same reason.

My generic 5 gallon buckets have bent a bit where I brought the weights down and hit the front edge of them. Not really a big deal, since any dents pop back out, and you can also just restack with a new set of buckets on top.

And yes, they’re very very cheap if you need to replace them… $2-3 at most places.
