Selling Game You Shot

It is very illegal. I would only do it by word of mouth, if I were to do such a thing.

And Bambi is tender, very tender.
Oh Gabby. :frowning:

I had veal last night and was thinking about you murderers. I think if Bambi were breaded, fried, and slathered with tomato sauce and mozzarella, I would wolf it down with a side of pasta, as I did last night, and as I have cruelly done to both Chicken Little and several eggplants I’ve seen wandering around in that condition.
Yeah, I killed one a couple years ago that even made me feel bad about myself. It didn’t even have teeth yet. When my wife took the roast out of the freezer she asked me why I halfed it. I just grunted and left it at that. She would not have been a fan of that but the roast was delicious.

I would also consider buying some off you too.

I’ll buy some from you! My schedule is all fucked up right now and I might not be able to get out there to kill it myself. IIRC, we are practically neighbors.
Bro! Bambi is free for you! I might not be down to DC for a few weeks, but will let you know when I head to L Street to get my hairs cut!

Sen, timely article on this from the WSJ.

We import 85% of our venison from New Zealand deer farms.

Some of the stuff I’ve read about chronic wasting disease - prions - mad cow type disease in deer meat would give me pause, just saying.

I dont know about your state but, in Alabama, and Tennessee its illegal to straight up sell it. It is legal to give it away though, so like skyzyks said it would probably be cool to give it away with the sale of something else.

Yea where are you actually? You could give some away to me, and I could accidentally drop a bunch of cash on the ground and leave.

Well, I can accidently drop cash in the state of MD, way closer than Tennessee…

-THe first time I spelled Tennessee it was hilariously wrong :frowning:

Well, when I drop cash an entirely different kind of game drops in my lap, I guess all I can contribute is that you need a discreet envelope.

Dont know if this helps.

Takoma Park Maryland…a nuclear free community…

Hey I live in Aspen Hill just down the street from you buddy. Is that sarcasm by the way. I recently learned there is an experimental reactor in Gaithersburg. Its not used for energy needs but I guess experiments in that field. Crazy that this is not common knowledge.

Anyways how long you been in this part of the country. Great traffic right?

That was a good read. I let a lot of Bambies and their mother’s walk every year because I have to go to work in a few hours and don’t have time to cut 'em up my self, it’s too warm to let 'em hang, and I don’t want to pay to get 'em cut up at a slaughter house if they will probably only yield 30 lbs of meat or less. I don’t fool with hunter’s for the hungry because there is still the hassle of gutting it, draging it out of the woods and burning my gas.

If they gave you vouchers when you donated meat to hunters for the hungry to help pay for your licenses, or gift cards to BassPro or some such, I might be more inclined.

I felt bad about myself once, or maybe it was just stupid. Long story short, I shot Bambi and jumped on him with my knife to finish him off. Why let him run off and bleed and suffer for a couple of hours? Anyway while I cut I said in a soothing voice. “Shhh, it’s okay. It’s going to be okay.”

He was looking back at me with those big eyes and I realized he was probably thinking “He shoots me, then he cuts my throat, then he tells me it’s going to be okay. What an asshole.”

They say the one on the right is the tastier of the two, but I haven’t tried it yet.

Why don’t you give it to your dad for Christmas? It might be a nice change of pace from the summer sausage.
