Scott Walker: Finally...

Zeb,

Nope, I respectfully disagree with you on that. I am very steady as she goes.

Your objectivity regarding the topic of Trump is absent. You give him no credit for anything that he has ever done in his life, as near as I can tell that is. Now, the man must have done something right. Yet, I’ve never read any kudos from you regarding Trump. That would make your objectivity absent.

As for candidate weakness. I have already written that Trump is a terrible candidate. A big mouth ego maniac who will not be around by the end of the trail. I’d say that is recognizing candidate weakness wouldn’t you TB? So, you are off base on that my friend.

I think if you check the latest survey on the voters thoughts regarding illegal aliens you will find a majority think what President Obama is doing is quite wrong. They were quite happy about Trump’s comments, harsh as they were. The average guy likes to hear this type of political red meat. Perhaps not from a would be President. But then again they heard it from Trump…right?

Some are white hot angry some don’t much care they and would rather focus on who the next American Idol is. And many democrats think that illegals should be allowed to vote (which shows us how far the democrats have fallen).

Here’s a survey I just read. It’s from 2009 but I bet that there has not been much of a change over 6 years. Read the link there are many other surveys which go along with the following:

“73% of Americans called for a drop in the number of illegal immigrants CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll, October, 2009.”

http://www.endillegalimmigration.com/illegal_immigration_polls_surveys/index.shtml

The majority of Americans are for enforcing the immigration laws–BIG SURPRISE.

Ha ha Trump massages my pleasure buttons" Great line TB and thanks for the chuckle.

Um, nope no buttons massaged. But, he did bring that issue front and center didn’t he? And he did it in a way that impressed many voters on the right. Remember, the mainstream voters are not voting in the primary process, it is the far right in the republican party who votes. Maybe Trump isn’t as stupid as you have been alleging. Again your lack of objectivity is showing.

He clearly DOES NOT hurt the GOP (yet). I was comparing Bernie as an example of one who does not harm the democrats even though he is a Socialist. Point being, I don’t think either party can be harmed by a candidate mouthing off. After all, that’s what many candidates do, some more than others. People are at least smart enough to separate Bernie the Socialist from the democratic party. And so they are also smart enough to separate Trump the showman from the republican party. Perhaps your deep visceral hate for Trump prohibits you from looking at him and his relationship to the GOP objectively?
5. The Reagan invocation makes no sense - setting said the fact he’d be viewed as a RINO squish, he supported amnesty and it’s unimaginable he’d be as a excited as you are about Trump’s irresponsible comments.
Sorry you missed that one TB. The point of bringing up President Reagan was to show that if in fact if you are correct and people are more upset over Trump a business man being a candidate in the republican party than Bernie the Socialist running a national campaign in the democrat party he (Reagan) would certainly not approve. So, it makes perfect sense right?

Finally, Trump reminds me of an Uncle that used to visit my home when I was a child. He was a very colorful person who had been around the world and living in exotic places. The first day he stayed with us I would hang on his every word. I didn’t want to do anything else. I just wanted to listen to his adventures and his comments on every topic (because he had an opinion on everything). By the second day he was still somewhat entertaining but I would cut him off in order to go outside and play with my friends. By the third day he clearly over stayed his welcome, not just with me by my parents as well.

I guess we’ve all known people like this right TB?

Trump is somewhat like that. Right now many people (especially the right) enjoy listening to him mouth off about illegal immigration and his frankness on most issues. But soon, probably very soon, he will have over stayed his welcome. And you and I will know it by the drop in his poll ratings. It probably will not come until after a couple of debates. But…it will most assuredly arrive. But, not until he has stirred up the right to a healthy lather. And that is good for GOP turnout, but I’m sure you know this.

As for my affection for the GOP I look at it as our only hope to get us out of this mess. Granted they have let us down in the past. But, there is hope at least in their rhetoric. If you can offer a better way, a party which can win that will absolutely take us out of these dire straights I will certainly take a look. But until then I am going to stick to my republican roots not with blinders but with and open mind. By the way, as a side note most of my GOP friends sound more like you. They hate everything Trump and want him out of the race yesterday. But being the objective person that I am  I say let it play out.

Always like hearing your thoughts.

Well…it looks like Walker has finally officially entered the race.

Early Polls had him as a frontrunner (prior to it becoming a field of 15 at last count).

What will be interesting is how he comes out in the Polls over the next few weeks. With Bush and Trump now leading (with the latter STILL having me scratching my head); where Walker ends up should be interesting.

Some questions for PWI:

 1. Your thoughts on Walker? (For me, he has not clearly articulated his views; so it’s hard to say).

 2. Do you think he will end up among the top 5?

 3. How do you think he stacks up against Rubio?

All in all…I think he will shake things up a bit as many of these 15 or so fall by the wayside.

We’ll see.

What say 'ye?

Recent trip through Wisconsin , which I had always heard was a beautiful place, was disappointing. Looked like a 3rd rate shit hole. If that’s what he does to a state, I would hate to see what he could do to a country . He looks like another suck ass wimp politician , tries to talk tough but doesn’t pull it off . I got a good laugh out of all those Harley ridin’ phonies , that went to Iowa … The Harley fad is over, they should have been on some of them new Indian mosickles that are made in Iowa… They didn’t even get that right

The guy IS tough! He’s been through two elections and also a recall election. He has beaten back the unions and also has reduced taxes. He’d be so very much better than the sell out that currently occupies the white house that it isn’t even close!

Really now, take a look at the states that liberals have controlled for decades if you want to see a true fiscal mess.

let’s start with California and New York.

Next we can move to all of the large Cities that have been controlled by democrats for decades. Where should we go first?

Baltimore is a good place to start. Then again maybe we should begin with Detroit.

Please Pitt, you can argue plenty of things in theory. But when the rubber hits the road left wing policies have failed for decades at every level in every way!

Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal, Scott Walker or any of the republican candidates would be a whole lot better than the failure we’ve put up with for almost 7 years.

Dream on Pitt,

Like I said debating left wing vs right wing political philosophies is all fun and games. But then when you look at the records of each state it’s clear to see that left wing ideas simply don’t work. The stealing of peoples money and handing to those who don’t deserve it, whether in the form of free rent, food stamps or actual cash is a loser long term.

Check out all of the long term controlled left wing big cities. Pretty disgusting…
