Sarah Palin and Paul Revere

I doubt that I’ll ever reach her level of success.

I think this is the point that most “palin haters” miss. She may be uneducated or undereducated by the standards many have for higher office, but she is FAR from stupid.
Stupid and successful are not necessarily mutually exclusive. See: The cast of the Jersey Shore.

Well, if you wont do it, somebody will.

I’m just a little confused, Dustin…

Was that Palin Tribute Video supposed to be a “win” for Palin…or a “win” for her haters?

The MSLM has been so protective of Obama it’s hard to know reality from fiction. By the way how did Obama get into Harvard in the first place? When you actually have the right answer to that one I’d sure like to know.
Lol what are you on about? Have you watched any of his interviews, speeches, and debates? Not to mention the fact he ran what will probably go down as the most brilliant political campaign in recent memory. Regardless of your political views, and you probably hate this, but Obama singlehandedly organised the stimulus and healthcare bills. Dude is a machine…too bad he’s on the ‘other side.’

By the way your comments and arguments sometimes get real weak when the bias goes over board. I don’t have a problem with your ultra conservative views (I’d describe myself as an independent) but some of the stuff you’ve said doesn’t make sense.

Yes, and when he talks sometimes…just on occasion I get a chill up my leg!

Please don’t tell me that you’re naive enough to actually think that Obama crafted his campaign strategy. But do you know who did? Come on tell me. We all know that Karl Rove was the “master mind” behind Geroge W. Bushes two victory’s right? But who is the man, or men behind Obama do you know? Gee, how come the press hasn’t talked about it? Hmmm…

And both of them are resounding failures. The “stimulus” has not stimulated. Unemployment just took another jump, and our dollar is sinking faster than the Titanic. And as far as health care, some people are already suffering a hike in rates. Ask Maximus right here on T Nation. In reality Obama is the disease and another election is the cure.

Then you better start pointing out exactly what doesn’t make sense to you. I think you suffer from at least two problems. The first of which, you’re from another country and can’t keep up. Some in your position can do this you obviously cannot. The second is you have bought into the MSLM hype about Obama being the chosen one.

Truly Obama is the worst President since Jimmy Carter. But when he does something right I give him credit. For example, killing Bin Laden, I began a thread giving him credit for this. To date I cannot think of anything else that he’s done right.

Come up with some facts or go away.

Thank you,

Zeb

Edit: Just checked and I now understand why you think Obama is the best thing since free money (which Obama hands out readily to those who didn’t earn it). You’re only 19! When you grow up you’ll begin to realize that some of your hero’s have clay feet, and not to believe everything you see in the media.

It wasn’t my intent to get into any argument with you, just simply rebut your assumption that Obama isn’t intelligent enough to have graduated from Harvard and Columbia. The man is a brilliant politician and clearly very intelligent.

Personally I don’t think he’s nearly as bad as some people like you have insinuated. America has been slowly losing competitive advantage even before Bush came in.

Exactly.

Concession: through the babble and drivel, Palin’s account contains more historical fact than anyone had originally thought. I certainly had never heard the word “bell” in reference to Revere’s fabled midnight ride.

Does this change the fact that it was a stupid answer? Less stupid, sure. But still a dumb fucking answer. “Paul Revere warned the Colonials that the British were coming.” That’s the right answer. That’s why he is famous. That’s where he helped that night. Do you think his capture and the exchange of a few words with British officers after the fact is a pertinent or historically significant detail related to Paul Revere? Is it the first thing that should come to mind when asked who Revere was and what Revere did? No. My guess is that she was told that little factoid just before being asked the question, and did her best to regurgitate it.

An analogy:

Question: Who was Thomas Jefferson?

Answer: Well, he was John Adams’ Vice President.

True, but still a stupid fuckin answer.
-“Did you hear Sarah Palin’s stupid answer about Paul Revere? She’s stupid”

-“Uhm, her answer was actually correct”
Gettnitdone wrote:

If it wasn’t your intent then you shouldn’t have said this:

You see junior when you tell someone that their arguments are weak and that they don’t make sense you’ve pretty much started an argument with them.

Then where is your rebut? You simply saying that you think he’s a smart guy is no rebut at all. That’s why I said come up with something or leave. You have one more post here and still no rebut.

Yes, we understand you love Obama. You think he’s smart and a really good President. That’s called opinion.

Basically, you have nothing to offer other than your opinion. Now what would your teacher say to you if you were to write a persuasive paper and all you could do was to offer up your opinion?

I’ll do the same as she/he. You get an “F” for your two posts to me.

If you want to improve your grade lay down some facts on why you think he’s a good President.

And also you can explain why Obama’s grades are on lock down. If he’s so smart why isn’t he touting those grades? We all know he’s an egomaniac who likes to take credit. One more thing since you are on the topic. How did Obama get into Harvard? Do you know what his HS grades were? Do you even know where he went to High School?

Do you know anything about Obama other than what has been spoon fed to you through the MSLM who wanted to see him elected?

One more time, come back with something of substance or go away.

Whats wrong with you? I just told you why he was smart: “interviews, speeches, and debates? Not to mention the fact he ran what will probably go down as the most brilliant political campaign in recent memory. Regardless of your political views, and you probably hate this, but Obama singlehandedly organised the stimulus and healthcare bills.”

Some of your weak arguments: “MSLM,” grades, Marxism, etc.

The fact you even care what his grades and constantly ask how he got into Harvard proves you’re at a level of bias where no one can get into a constructive discussion with you. Your views are so en-grained into your membrane that my young mind can’t compete with that level of ignorance.

Take away your political opinions, any bias or judgments against the man; what he’s done is impressive. You can’t do the things he’s done and is doing without being smart.
Gettnitdone wrote:
Whats wrong with you?
What’s wrong with me? You enter a message board and make outrageous accusations regarding my posts, and then say that you don’t want to debate. And you ask what’s wrong with me?

All opinion. Many have seen the same things that you have and think he is lacking. Do you know the difference between opinion and fact?

I already pointed out to you that he did not run his campaign. Furthermore, if you look at the number of favorable story’s for Obama vs McCain you will soon see that McCain had to take on the Obama camp plus most of the media.

And I pointed out to why both thus far have been a failure. How is that “smart”?

Nor can your young mind put forth even one fact and support it. The reason I ask those questions are to at least try to shake you from your ignorant stupor. I can see it’s not working.

In your opinion. Once again, what has he done which leads you to such foolish conclusions? The health care bill? Oh please it is a disaster and on top of that Pelosi did the heavy lifting on that one. And for her reward she was removed as speaker. As I’ve said the stimulus is a loser. Do you realize how bad the US economy is right now? Now why is that? Is it because the Obama stimulus package worked? No. It’s because the stimulus package was a very bad idea.

You are one very confused little man.

Now come back with some facts or go away. You keep repeating the same drivel as if it’s worth something.

I am here, at Pushharder’s request, to admit that Palin’s words were FAR more reasonable than I had originally thought.

I still think she’s ignorant. And I still think it was a very odd answer. But, the original “HAH!” that the media gloatingly hurled in her direction was unwarranted and inappropriate.
