Indeed. Read an article a couple days ago that suggested if the GoP tries to push through a nominee that “bygones will not be bygones” should they lose the Senate. The Dems will retaliate. I agree. It’s not good for the country, but it’s what will probably occur.
I very much do not want that to happen. It will be almost impossible to push a nominee through with only 12 work days left in session. Trying will be political suicide should they lose in November.
Unless Lindsey Graham is a liar, you should include him on the list too.

Trump has said he will reveal his nominee before the end of the week.
They will do that anyway. I’ve seen absolutely nothing to suggest that a GOP stand down here would somehow mollify their previously published plans upon getting a senate majority.
Everything Dick Blumenthal etc said ‘would be on the table’ was already on the table.
Edit: let’s run through the threats so far:
- Stacking the court by expanding it to 12 justices.
- Senators for Puerto Rico and DC.
- Riots.
Which of the above have they either resisted or not suggested before? What would the GOP receive for good behaviour, ‘next time we won’t accuse your selected judge of gang rape?’

One possible choice is a Cuban-American female judge from Florida, Barbara Lagoa.
However; Barrett has already been vetted and interviewed by Trump (after the last vacancy). She seems to be the front-runner at this point.
The fact that USSC nominees no longer get a relative unanimous confirmation vote (with the infrquent exception) proves that this is just another political appointee, as opposed to some drapped in the flag ideal.
Blame the Dems for hating America as it was founded - they openly state it
I would like to see this, if only because I’d like to see what the attack from the Dems would be. That would neuter the ‘white male, probably rapist/racist’ line of attack.
