Russia Won't Go Away

Now it might go away.

It’ll probably go away if he loses his reelection. But this thing went full Benghazi like a year ago.

Plus it helps that is hasn’t cost the taxpayer a dime, which severely yanks the wind from many sails.

And the only people who died were a bunch of Russian oligarchs flunkies and a couple of reporters.

Russian State TV is basically live streaming FOX News. What a time to be alive.

@loppar You’re a pretty smart guy, so maybe you’ll know: what’s up with Russian architecture? Why can’t they make windows that are safe to stand near?

And the Benghazi investigations stopped being about dead people ~30 days in. You’re kinda proving my point for me.

Just like Benghazi evolved into the emails, etc. So has the collusion evolved into the number of admitted felons and other such illegal things performed “for” Trump.

The windows only work correctly if you correctly identify Putin as a great great man.

It seems that cooperating with the FBI has a negative effect on one’s center of balance. What else could it be? I mean, Russian businessmen and journalists have been falling out of windows in both London and NYC so obviously it’s not a design flaw but a medical condition…

Mr. Borodin isn’t the only Russian journalist to die by falling. In fact, several prominent journalists, or those associated with them, over the years have died after mysterious falls. Mikhail Leshin , once Vladimir Putin’s state media head who had fallen out of favor with the Russian leader, died in a hotel room in Washington, D.C. after a fall the FBI said happened after a night of “extreme drinking”.

Mr. Leshin suffered injuries to his legs, arms, neck and torso, in addition to “blunt force trauma” to his head during his “fall” to his hotel room’s floor, a fall that must have been repeated several times.

Victor Afanasenko , editor of a paper investigating raids by Russian paramilitary troops like those from The Wagner Group, died in 2012 from a fall in his home.

Another, Olga Kotovskaya , who was battling a member of the government for control of her radio station, fell from her 14th floor window. Vadim Godlevsky, publisher of a magazine critical of the Kremlin, also fell from the 14th floor, last year.

And in 2017, lawyer Nikolai Gorokhov , who represented Sergei Magnitsky , an anti-corruption attorney who was the source of information reported in the news tying Denis Katsyv , the son of a prominent official in the Putin government, to a large-scale theft of Russian state funds, fell to his death from a fourth-story window while, implausibly, trying to move a bathtub.

Random floating gravity vortices! They work like those Rhimanian manifolds. 3 feet away, nothing. 6 inches closer and swoosh! Right the fuck out a there!

And the spin…as to what the report said…or didn’t say…has begun…

With Trump right out in front…

I will be curious to see what John McCain says. I know Trump has really been hammering him lately so it will be interesting.

Going to be a lot of people on the left choking on crow. Or not, because that would mean they possess personal integrity and critical thinking skills.

Nah there won’t be. Benghazi was still getting cheers through Trump’s entire campaign, despite punishing zero people for supposed felonies.

This one had guilty verdicts and paid for itself. From a Dem PoV there was zero downside to the entire investigation.

Rachel Maddow should be put on watch.

Do you mean like all of that personal integrity and critical thinking skills Trump and his Minions (again…no disrespect to Bob and the guys) possess?

Trump is a lot of things…but stupid is not one of them…

And he has to be perhaps the luckiest human being to ever hold the Office…

Time will tell how long that luck will last.

Correct and it’s still not over. This is just the end of the beginning.
I’ve felt all alone that trumps biggest threats to his freedom come from the SDNY investigatons into bank fraud and money laundering. Congress is not done also. These investigations are on going and will last throughout his stay in the whitehouse.

I wonder if Trump appreciates the irony that the Dems ripped off this entire move from the GOP and did it better.

Seriously going to post this with Trump as the leader of the Republican Party? You have to be trolling right?

Wait a minute. Dems ripped off show trials and political investigations from Republicans? This whole thing started (FISA warrants and all) from the Steele Dossier funded by the DNC and Hillary.

Did the Republicans fire the RPGs at Benghazi or cause the Hillary state department to not allow for more security despite repeated requests?

The DNC did this same song and dance for years with Bush over WMD’s (despite everyone on earth knowing Sadam had them including the NYT beforehand). All they got out of that was a procedural Scooter Libby conviction.

Clarance Thomas and Kavanaugh ring any bells? The Reps are far from blameless on using the justice apparatus for political theater… but they didn’t invent the game.

Yup.

This whole thing started from the knowledge that Russia spent a lot of time and money fucking with our election. I don’t think the dossier was a requirement at all. Happy to agree to disagree.

Did the Democrats ask Putin to hack the DNC and show he clearly favored Trump, while Trump was hiring people who were committing crimes or had commit crimes?

Sure woulda been nice if they found one of em.

It’s a pretty direct analogy. GOP ran a near decade long smear campaign spending millions and millions with the sole purpose of stopping president Hillary, that they knew was coming.

The main difference is this investigation is cash flow positive and actually got guilty verdicts.

So not a perfect analogy. I fully admit the Dems took the GOP playbook and improved the hell out of it

Ha ha!

The whole thing was such an incredible waste of time and resources. You do have a right to not only be disappointed, but positively angry at those lying, conniving forces. And everybody knew it all along.
