So much for Strzok acting as a Clinton supporter in his capacity as an investigator:
"Emails obtained by CNN show the FBI agent at the center of a Capitol Hill storm played a key role in a controversial FBI decision that upended Hillary Clinton’s campaign just days before the 2016 election: the letter to Congress by then-FBI Director James Comey announcing the bureau was investigating newly discovered Clinton emails.
The new revelation about FBI agent Peter Strzok comes as Republicans accuse him of being sympathetic to Clinton while seeking to undermine Donald Trump during the heat of the 2016 campaign season.
Strzok, who co-wrote what appears to be the first draft that formed the basis of the letter Comey sent to Congress, also supported reopening the Clinton investigation once the emails were discovered on disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s laptop, according to a source familiar with Strzok’s thinking. The day after Strzok sent his draft to his colleagues, Comey released the letter to Congress, reigniting the email controversy in the final days of the campaign." [emphasis mine]
And yet, both he and McCabe knew of those emails for a whole month before Comey’s update.
He had also previously agreed with Page’s reservations about going after Clinton too hard, given her apparent trajectory towards the WH.
edit: k, so the article mentions that second point, but really: in what way does this temper the criticism/skepticism surrounding his conduct?
He was already intimately involved in the case; had already established a track record of drafting material that would be disseminated for public consumption (and which would, incidentally, include language - credited to him - that would be leveraged to justify NOT bringing charges against HRC); was faced with thousands of emails discovered in a high-profile investigation being handled outside of his direct control/influence, emails that anyone in his position would have known would find their way into the wild at some point…
What was he supposed to do? Decide this was going to be the moment he would refrain from sticking his hands in the cookie jar? That now would be a good time to recuse himself? Stop it.
…and so, the FBI waited a month before updating Congress (heck, for all we know, it took that long because everyone was waiting on him to send Comey his draft - Comey certainly seemed comfortable hustling that along once received), with his proposed language for that update including that the investigation was being reopened due to the Bureau’s “obligation” to review the material (or, “Hey, rules are rules, amirite?”).
Also, “upended” is, arguably, a generous word to describe the impact this development.had on HRC’s campaign.
Uh-oh. It would be ironic if the actual downfall began with an Instagram video of a Russian prostitute…

So with todays news, I think this Russia thing will finally go away.
Most definitely
Just wow. The scope of this thing.
“The Russian group, the Internet Research Agency, had a monthly budget of $1.2 million to fuel what the indictment called “information warfare.” The operation was divided into departments including, a data analysis department, graphic designers, finance department and an information technology flank.”
Some highlights from the indictment found here Special Counsel’s Office | SCO | Department of Justice (borrowed from Reddit):
- The IRA (Internet Research Group) supported Trump and Bernie (preferred over Hillary), were against the other major candidates
- Pushed for third party voting or no vote protests amongst minority groups
- Originated much of the voter fraud claims supported by Trump
- Focused efforts on swing states, particularly Florida
- Controlled a Twitter account with over 100k followers that many people thought was the GOP’s official Twitter account in Tennessee
- Generally promoted divisive politics
- They really, really do not like Hillary Clinton
- Organized and funded divisive rallies in the US
- IRA was in direct contact with unwitting members of the Trump campaign
- Stole US citizen identities to ‘legitimize’ payments
Wow, they really did (and do). In normal world, the fact that the villainous Russia hated/feared a candidate that much would ensure that candidate won the Republican primary with 110% of the vote.
But, sadly, we no longer live in normal world. Now, our Republicans bat puppy eyes at dreamy Vladimir Putin and make every excuse in favor of Russians at every proof of malfeasance.
Bet???
I like to think this is just the appetizer before we see more familiar names in these, like Parscale, Cambridge Analytica, Mercer…
I guess what I meant was, it looks like then end of assuming trump was working hand in hand with the Russians.
Once again Trump was right and we all should start believing more of the crazy shit he says.
It appears to be just the beginning of our certainty of the issue, russians fucking with us during elections. To me this is just another reason to keep off of shitty social media, shits garbage for the soul and the brain. I’m not on Twitter but somehow I see all of trumps tweets, from other media and news.
To me this simply balances out the meddling that has taken place for YEARS if not decades by soros. That dude has
been fucking with us for a while!
And we all know russia and soros are enemies, that’s probably one reason for the russians targeting hillary specifically.
Quoted for truth. Hate social media for the most part. I’m much happier without it
You gotta start reading those “Word Porn” posts shared by hurt women in a Hulk voice.
Changes the whole experience completely.
This is interesting. With the news about Mueller’s indictment of 13 Russians Friday:
And Trump’s response:

There is this (note the filing date):
Eh, if you pick your sources & utilization carefully, it can be pretty awesome. I’ve actually found Twitter to be a surprisingly fertile place for academic discussion. But I go out of my way to just follow and interact with other professionals (statisticians, medical researchers, other quants) so I don’t really get sucked into any discussions that I want no part of.
I also follow some fun stuff like local newspapers, sports teams, official school accounts and local police departments because they’re really useful for daily-life updates (i.e. easy to see if schools are canceled, roads are closed, get a warning from the local PD that there’s a boil-water advisory, etc).
Point is, I think if you use social media carefully, it’s a wonderful tool.
He went bananas this weekend after that…seems like walls closing in…or he finally found Milanias dildo…either way sounds like extreme butt hurt…sure was classy of him to poop tweet & play golf a miles from a tragedy he supposedly cares about…

Ok, this is an official ad from the Russian federal government urging Russians to vote in the Presidential elections. The word “offensive” is usually massively overused but in this case…
The ad features a black actor who probably answered the world’s most awkward casting call:
“We need a black extra to help us bring to life a dystopian future where Russia is teeming with black men and gays”
Also, in the comments section notice how many US alt-right fanboys are gushing over it
Wow. They need to hire better propaganda writers. Is bare-chested Putin scaring the gays away? I get the inflation fear mongering, anti gay, anti draft messages there. Wtf was the limited toillette message?
Is someone campaigning on forced elderly draft, forced gay partners, stupid school uniforms, inflation and Red Scare bathrooms? So weird.
“If he can’t find another partner, you will have to sleep with him.” “It’s the law.”
“What army? I’m 52.” “The draft age has been raised to 60.”
“Dad I need 4 million.”
Well, the draft is one of those atavistic Russian fears - historically, getting drafted into the Army during Tsarist Russia was perceived as a death sentence, as was during WW2.
Actually, the video is perfectly honed for the Russian audience and references contemporary happenings in the US viewed through a Russian prism - school shootings (I need 4 million for security), gender-neutral bathrooms, and the pussification of American society.
Looks extremely crude, but pretty much the exact topics are discussed with varying degrees of subtlety on every US alt-right reddit.
Also, “Boyko”, the name of the “general” is a stereotypical slur for Ukrainians.
