Just want to post this again. The below tweet came 40 min after the beginning of the Veselnitskaya meeting that supposedly lasted 20 minutes. He was in Trump Tower at the time.

Well, if she’s a Chekist (a KGB/FSB spook) it depends. Ambassador Kislyak is being withdrawn to Russia to be replaced by the former deputy defense minister Antonov which shows they’re trying to distance themselves from the Trump administration lest they appear too friendly.
The Russians have reacted to Trump Jr. e-mails with a counter offensive, their version of the “But Hillary!” defense. The Russian media and the twittersphere are bizarrely accusing Ukraine (yes, Ukraine) of having tried to influence the US elections in HRC’s favor.
The Russian language version of the “proof” is strongly antisemitic with numerous allegations against the “International Jewry” and the Clintons, but it seems that the English version that started making the rounds in US alt-right circles is heavily sanitized.
Side note: It’s pretty hard to debate the Russians about these matters because they believe that phrases such as “but he’s a Jew” or “his/hers grandmother is Jewish” immediately win the argument.

And in an interview on “The Christian Broadcasting Network” (Thank GOODNESS we have a Christian in the White House…)…Trump said:

If this is true it would be reason number 9 million to get rid of a two party system. Much harder to influence an election between more than 2 people.
Maybe we should just punt the 2016 election put Obama back in office temporarily and tell people we are going to have an election for a new President in two months. Your choices are anyone in the country except for Trump or Clinton.
Who wouldn’t be down for this? I think we would be better off picking a random name out of a phone book.

The reports on the 2015 conversations weren’t particularly illuminating, the people familiar with them said. Donald Trump had business connections in Russia—he produced the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow—and had sold properties to Russians.
In that respect, the reports in and of themselves weren’t alarming. But the volume of the mentions of Trump associates by the Russians did have officials asking each other, “What’s going on?” one former official said.
