It’s just conjecture.

I can do it too.

Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, and Michelle Bachmann cannot win.

See? I am brilliant.
You’re also wrong. And if you’d like I’ll save this post because one of those two people could very well become the next President, albeit unlikely. Whereas Ron Paul will never, ever become President of these United States – NOT EVER! Now when I’m right will you be telling me how right I was? No, not likely we don’t do that around here do we?
If you are wrong and Ron Paul gets elected can you never post in PWI ever again?
I’d be glad to agree to that, of course it wouldn’t be fair to have a one sided bet. If Ron Paul loses then you and the rest of the gullible Paul fans never post again.
That’s hardly a fair bet either. The Paulites aren’t saying he’ll be the president fo sho or anything of the sort. They merely think that he stands a fair chance. It’s hardly fair that you win if any other candidate wins but the Paulites only win if Paul wins. So how about if Paul wins, you never post here again and on the flipside if Paul fails to at least triple his support from '08, meaning getting 105+ delegates, the Paulites stop posting here? That seems to be a much more reasonable bet, especially considering how vocal you’ve been about your opinion that Paul won’t even match the 35 delegates he gathered in '08.
That not only isn’t fair, it’s laughable. And it speaks directly to what I’ve been saying about Paul since day one. You guys deep down know that he’s not winning. If he loses by a little less than he did last time out you think that’s good? Will you throw a party and start chanting “Paul in 16?” And if so who will wheel him out to kick off his campaign?

You guys are funny and this statement is perhaps the most hilarious, and telling of all.
You should really just take the bet. Give me a reason why you wouldn’t.
The only reason that I’m not at this point is that I get to jerk them around about their lack of support for their own man!

(Crap…did I just post that? Now they know my strategy)

“Establishment President” LOL
You know, the one’s that are entitled as the “front runner” candidates when they don’t actually have any support at all.
Name a current front runner who does not have support? By the way one of the reasons (just one) that Paul is not, and never will be a front runner is because he is only a Congressman from a small district. People like Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and others have been Governor’s. But more on that later if you’d like to hear it. Your definition of “Establishment Candidate” is ny candidate who actually has enough support to win the nomination. And yes, that would make Ron Paul a “non” establishment candidate for sure.

You are pathetic ZEB.
You’re a 20 year old foreigner who is pulling for a near 80 year old Congressman to become the next US President. And you call me pathetic?

Try to grasp a big cup full of reality and drink it right down while you still can junior.
And you are an arrogant old man trolling an internet forum. That IS pathetic.

Try and get your head around that despite what you’ve been saying here for some years now, Paul IS a serious force in this fight and that he will help shape its eventual outcome.

The establishment morons are already starting to adopt his rhetoric even if they aren’t smart enough to understand its meaning or implications.

And how do I win? And what do I win? I want some of these Paulies to go out on a limb for their man, especially John S. So, why don’t you craft the deal where they have to risk something. I’ve had to put up with their constant nonsensical posts about Paul becoming President. When time and again I’ve told them it will never happen. Fine, I’ll quit posting if Paul becomes President. Only under the condition that they quit posting at a certain stage where Paul falters. And since they all think he can win the Presidency maybe that should be it. But I am feeling charitable I might take something less.
Gaius Octavius wrote:

And you are an arrogant
Naw…not really. You just don’t agree with me so you are attributing all sorts of negative images to me. But, if we were to be on the same side you’d look at me in a different light. When you’re older you’ll realize these things.

Not old either. In fact, in the world of politics I’m just the right age. Whereas you are just about two years out of high school. Ha…squirt.

Also, since when is the Internet especially for foreign born 20 year old kids? Come on when Al Gore invented the Internet he didn’t have this in mind right?

And it’s statements like that which cause me to not take you seriously, try as I may. Well, at least you didn’t claim he’d be our next President. For that I will give you some credit. Paul will be very lucky to finish out of the bottom two or three candidates. And I’ve given you (and others) all the reasons why. Now go have a beer…oops I mean soda, and relax junior.

OK. I’ll go have a soda and then say a quick prayer for centrist Mitt Romney and then be thankful to Amerikuh for safeguarding me and the world. Isn’t that what juniors are supposed to do?
I mean, fuck having a critical mind and an opinion of your own. One should just listen to wise old men like you ZEB. No need to actually look at what’s happening in society. That’s totally overrated.

I see it of little value if those that he is influencing with rhetoric have no intention of adopting his behavior. Ideas and action go hand-in-hand.

I agree. I think his ideas are good enough that they may very well resonate with the other candidates who MAY incorporate them into their policies.
I hope you are right. I am skeptical of these candidates intentions though.

I never said that having a critical mind is a bad thing. You have to pay better attention. I think you’re a bright kid, I do. But you have to get a grip on what you’d like to have happen and the most probable outcome.

Do you understand what I’m saying?

Paul won’t be the nominee. And furthermore, if for some strange reason he was, (let’s say the rest of them dropped out and he was the only one left, yeah that would be the only way he’d be the nominee), he would get trounced so bad by Obama that it would make Reagan’s landslide win over Mondale look like a squeaker.

So, no we don’t want Paul as our nominee, and fortunately most other people feel the same as I do. But Push makes a legitimate point. If some of his fiscal conservatism can wear off on the likes of Romney, Bachman and some of the others who could become the nominee then Paul has served his purpose.

If you want young people to have a critical mind and be interested in politics you might want to spend a little less time being condescending and acting superior towards those kids that actually exhibit those qualities. Just sayin’

Actually Ron polls pretty well against Obama. At least one poll has him doing better than any other republican.

I think Paul is the GOP"s best hope , the problem lies in the fact that Jesus is not in Paul’s corner
