Our economy is not doing so well.
The last 30 seconds is illuminating

Oh Nommy, you Paulies are such reactionary nut bags.
Economics was never my strong suit. But, you don’t have to be a Harvard Professor of economics to understand that the USA isn’t in danger of economic collapse.
(lol)
Take a look at the economic power of the USA compared to other countries in the top 10, as measured by the GNP as of 2005:
USA-11,351
Japan-4,366
Germany-1,966
England-1,647
China-1,529
France-1,455
Italy-1,212
Canada-728
Spain-655
Mexico-642
(Note the USA is larger than the five beneath it combined)
Now I realize that this is only one measure of a countries wealth, but all of the other measures are also looking quite healthy.
Where do you think all of this wealth will go if Ron Paul doesn’t get elected?
To the bankers who have financed the prosperity over the past 75 years. When you have a system built on credit, on fractional reserves, today’s numbers are not a potent indicator of future prosperity. Everything could evaporate overnight.
That’s the nature of fractional reserve banking and fiat money, as opposed to hard currency. Also, some of the figures touted as indicators of economic prosperity are often quite worthless. Stock values, being one example.
The Federal Reserve causes economic malinvestment on a massive scale. It is designed to create the illusion of prosperity by pumping money into the system.
The Keynesians think that nothing bad can possibly happen so long as people keep spending money, even if it isn’t their own money and even if it was created out of thin air by a central bank. But all of that money isn’t really “free”, it comes with interest.
Please, I’m no “nutbag” and I don’t even understand the meaning of the term, “reactionary”, in this context. I study and enjoy the study of, economics. I’m glad that Ron Paul is the most economically astute candidate running for president.
My understanding of economic principles leads me to form certain opinions and predictions about future events, just as people make predictions based on their understanding of physical laws (i.e. this object will fall down if it’s support is removed). I can’t ignore the predictions or change them without altering my fundamental beliefs about economics.
So, the coming years will be something of a test of free market creed for myself and other advocates. According to the principles in which we believe, things simply can’t continue the way they are. It has to come to an end, and it’s coming relatively soon.
If anyone sees it differently, I’d be very interested in hearing their rationale.

Didn’t you know you can just keep borrowing money from the bank (that doesn’t even keep 100% in reserve) and quit paying the principle back and your credit will never be affected; when the bank does ask for its money back you can just print it–voila, “wealth” out of thin air. No repercussions what so ever.
One thing I really like about Ron Paul is that he doesn’t wait for issues to become popular before he speaks out about them. Here’s a speech he gave to Congress prior to the invasion of Iraq…
http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2002/cr091002.htm
and here’s one he gave that same month about taking out the Federal Reserve…

He was talking about these things before they were popular among the masses and he makes so much damn sense!

So, the other day I was driving down my Northern California freeway, when I look up and see a massive sign on the overpass that reads ‘JOIN THE RON PAUL REVOLUTION’.
It made my fucking day, since afterall, my freeway means more to me than fox news ever will. Or any other bullshit bought off slice of piss poor Americana. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not happy that it’s taken eons to expand the damn thing…
I’m pretty sure I could’ve gotten the job done drunk and equipped with nothing but a jackhammer and rake by now, but I digress. I was thrilled. So thrilled in fact, that I went and bought myself a huge slice of posterboard…
I felt compelled to add a few words to this mysterious message that would escape most, and by most I mean clueless, brainwashed, idiot old voters …the kind that drive like cunts on the same freeway and annoy me on my quest for punctuality on my way to work, to earn my check for social security and health care I will never see.
I got out my sharpie and I went to work. I decided on…
HEY BABYBOOMERS, GOOGLE RON PAUL AND JOIN THE REVOLUTION.
Had to be short and sweet you know. Can’t exactly write the constitution on a freeway sign, although for as much as its read or honored nowadays, I might as well have.
Yeah I’m a real cog in the movement now. I can hear your sarcastic wheels turning, creaking and moaning with your dried up old heartless blood acting as dead lube. Go and comment from the balcony like the old muppets you are. History has no place for you.
This is the typical ron paul voter.
Anyone still questioning why this guy has no chance?
Rage against the Machine!!! Please notice me, I’m “different.” My dad left because I was a bad person!!!
Instead of being a good person, telling the truth, participating in the process, I’ve got smelly, hair, I lie about women who would never look at me, I scream at Police, and don’t do anything for anyone else!!!
Go ron paul!!!
JeffR
There is absolutely nothing typical about me, I don’t exactly fit the ‘profile’ of this political agenda. Far from it. You don’t pay much attention JeffR. You think I’m some wannabe male punk trying to be the cock of the walk…with bad hygiene, trying to get close to women? I think you’re with a lack of observational skills so horrid I wouldn’t trust you to tell me the colour of the sky, much less put any stock whatsoever in your opinions.
I am a woman who fully participates in the ‘process’. The process of working hard for a living…and always endeavoring to be a good person…and oh have I ever got truth to tell, to those who are capable of receiving. Why don’t you rape somebody elses ears with your nonsense.
Right, I’m off to shout at some cops now and rage against the machine…maybe wrap some kittens up in an American flag and burn it. You know how I do, don’t ya JeffR. Your marksmanship leaves plenty to be desired. Dishonorable discharge.
PS- Orion… <3
Translation: I was right on every score (including gender).

H’okay. If believing I’m a guy is giving you such a boner, go for it. You are clearly impotent in most ways.
I’m enjoying this thread thoroughly.
Ron Paul Places Third in Texas Straw Poll
http://dailypaul.com/node/1762
Excellent news! He is moving on up. That is the way to do it. Keep in mind that the voting was limited to past delegates only and did NOT include the general public.
Very good news, indeed.
And the next debate is coming this Wednesday.
Can’t wait.

Hunter got 534 votes. Former Tennessee senator and actor Fred Thompson came in second with 266 votes, and Texas congressman Ron Paul came in third with 217 votes
And it appears some registered Paul supporters were kept out.

That’s okay. It’s not the strong suit of the Ron Paul cultists either, unless you consider cutting-and-pasting articles from third rate economists and spamming them across the internet impressive.
