I don’t know. Are you really an adult at 18? Some convicted minors can be tried as adults, yet they can’t be trusted with alcohol until 21. Some states allow 16-year-olds to marry, yet some politicians are fighting for keeping children on parents’ insurance policies until 26. I’m confused. It seems to me becoming an adult takes place in stages depending on the subject. I think “voting adulthood” should come later than turning 18.

I would like to say 25, but I might be convinced to settle for 21 on a compromise.
