Despite what you’re assuming Factcheck.org isn’t a leftist website - they’re completely unbiased.

No one is completely unbiased, but I hear you.
But I’m sorry. I will go to my grave knowing full well Obama said what he said, as he said it. And it certainly wasn’t taken out of context. People understand the context, very much so. There is no one that will deny that what he started out saying, and what people are trying to tell you he actually meant to say is true and valid. Not even that inflammatory. yes, we live in a society, it has many moving parts, yes we contribute to working parts and many others benefit from the contribution of everyone.
But the man said “you didn’t build that”. And god damn it, that is what he meant to say.
Obama is anything but stupid, and did anything but misspeak. He knew what he was saying, and knew damn well that how he was saying it was going to be perceived. He knew conservatives and republicans would flip, and knew leftist, progressives, poor people and Democrats would eat it up and defend him to the hilt. You want to know why? Because it brings everyone to an equal playing field. It makes people feel better about themselves, and it changes the false sense of entitlement they have, and know is wrong, into a sense of justified entitlement.
It was, and always will be, a statement made to strengthen the collective, and get dipshits on facebook to type “let them eat cake”. He wanted to fundamentally change America, and people are too busy burning incense in his name to notice, it isn’t for the better.
Like every burnt out hippy, he thinks his form of state control is better for the people.
I have been wrong about a lot of things in my life, made plenty of mistakes, and acted a fool. I’m not ivy league, I’m not rich, and I still have a lot to learn. But I’m pretty sure fact check might be taking their own emotion and the idea that a president to be that bold as to come out and say something like that has to be a mistake too far and have this one wrong.
Obama said what he said, how he wanted to say it, and knows how to use prepositions. I am frightened and saddened so many people are blinded by the “it couldn’t be” or the “it couldn’t happen here” mentality to turn a blind eye to it.[/quote]
We know what he said because he says things like it all the time.
In 2008 when he slapped Joe the Plumber on the back and said “I know you’re doing well I just want to spread it around a bit…”
I know where he’s coming from every time he has a camera in his face and he wags his finger and says the rich are not paying their fair share of taxes. When in fact the top 1% pay 37% of all federal income tax. And the top 10% pay 70% of all taxes. I guess in a way Obama is correct the rich are not paying their fair share - they’re paying FAR MORE! But that’s not enough he wants even more.
And his actions speak even louder than his words. When first elected he had both houses of congress democrat. Was there a major push to fix the economy? No. But he worked around the clock to pass a 2,500 page bill that no one read and America (by 65%) did not want, national health care.
When he said that he wanted to “fundamentally change the US government” and lap dogs like Chris Matthews had a chill run up his leg. Many of us knew what he was really talking about and…we don’t like it.
We all know what Obama wants he’s said it over and over again. And when possible he’s followed it up with his actions.
