I saw Pitch Black on SciFi last night. It wasn’t great, but not bad IMO. Then they showed the making of Chronicles of Riddick. It looks like it will be better.
The movie does take place after Pitch Black timeline. The other two characters who survived in Pitch Black are in the new movie as well. The little girl who pretended to be a boy is a grown woman now and fights with Riddick. The movie set was pretty cool. I’ll probably go see it.
I watched Pitch Black on the space station last week (although I have the DVD) but I don’t think that they showed anything on the making of the Chronicles of Riddick. Hopefully they will air something this week.

[qoute] No offense guys, but I thought Boiler Room was a third rate ripoff of Wall Street. The worst acting in the movie had to go to Ben Affleck though[/qoute]
Guess what movie Wall Street was a spin off of .
Give you a hint its stars were two comdeians one black the other white. It was also done in the 80’s. Sorry for bringing this back up.
Did anybody else catch the first 10 mins of the movie last night on MTV? Starts off pretty cool, Vin in a full beard and dreads running from a bounty hunter. I’ll go see it.
Oh, I’m bad. I started a new tread without searching for an existing one. Sorry. Will not happen again. Here is what I wrote…
The only movie I like with Vin Diesel is Pitch Black. And I really like it. Now this movie isn't a sequel so much as it a spin off. Because the best part of Pitch Black was the character of Riddick. So you could say I'm a Riddick fan more than a Diesel fan. But how many people want to see this. I love Sci-Fi and this looks like good Sci-Fi.
Oh, please don’t high jack this with how horrible xXx was. I know how bad it was. You know it was bad. Even Vin knows his movies were bad. It’s why he didn’t sign up for any sequels.
But I’ve been waiting for Chronicles of Riddick for 3 years. I see it tomorrow, I will update on if it is any good. That is if anybody cares.
ok, maybe not pass, but either 1) pay the matinee fee, 2) rent it or 3) wait for it to hit home box.
its not worth paying $9 to see a 100 min movie.
effects f’n rock, they are top notch ( for this film)… vin’s acting is fine, but who the hell wrote this script? wayy too many cheezy lines. really, you can’t judge the actor w/o looking at the lines he is paid to say… whoever wrote this ugg… not absolutely terrible, but not the best.
I agree w/ Jillie on this its either wait on rental, or pay maintee price the script was terrible sci-fi action was well done. Suprisingly even Vin Diesel’s acting was good in this. But, the story was terrible it made absolutly no sense. Thank goodness I went to a Matinee show to see this.
I liked the movie. Is it a classic? No. But it was entertaining and flowed well. I would give it 2 stars out of four. I did not feel cheated seeing it in the theater and that is saying a lot these days.
