Required Meal Cards

Whats up guys,

I'm starting my third year of college and the university that I attend requires that all students living on campus have a meal card. Each card contains from $500 - $1000 per semester; I usually get the $500 card but the thing is, I never use it because I wouldn't be eating clean. My hometown is two hours away from where I study and I travel back home every weekend. Before going back to school on Sunday I go to the supermarket and buy the food for that week. I have been doing so since I started college.

Now, I want to drop the meal plan because it has been wasted money, money my parents have been giving away and I don’t like that. The money could be used for something else. Anyway I spoke to the dean of students and she said I could fill out a waiver but that more than likely it will be denied. I need a substantial reason. This really gets my blood bubbling. What reason should I give to the administration in order to have my waiver approved; apparently health, alright, okay and appearance, don’t mean anything to them.
The food here at school blows, it’s like eating at a malls food court.

Do you guys know of a substantial reason I could give to the admistration in order to have my waiver approved?

Thanks in advance.

why don’t you find somebody who is getting the $1000 food card, adn get that person to get a $500 dollar one and then to buy yours off of you as well?

my thoughts exactly…

Tell them you have blood sugar problems, (no need to specify that those problems are caused by the fact that you are merely human) and explain that you need to eat certain foods at certain times. this is what I did in high school so i could eat every three hours.

oh yeah, check out the “school days” articles by Steve Berardi, those give you some good eatin’ tips.

“How can you eat that stuff?”
“obviously you’ve never tried the caffeteria food.”

They are making money from them, so everyone has to buy one.
