Recovery

Coach,

Along with my GPP, I did 10x10 of Leg Presses, 10x10 of Leg Curls, and abs. My right knee is a little sore. The knee has been sore off and on for a few months. My range of motion or strength has not been limited by this at all. What should I do? Keeping the faith, Solomon.

Damn Solomon, that’s a big workout. Anyway, when in doubt, ice it! Crush some up in a zip lock, hold it on your knee and move your leg through partial ROM. At least your swelling will be kept down and flexibility maintain. I suggest knee wraps too when you’re working legs, especially for squats. If the pain keeps up, see a doctor.

Solomon - what are you doing, thats a big workout. Lets get healthy, rest and ice and tell me how you’re doing tomorrow. In faith, Coach Davies

Looks like a GVT workout but why the Leg presses instead of squats? Can you describe where the pain is on your knee? upper, lower, internal, external? If you are prone to any knee pain whatsoever I recommend you ice your knees after every workout session involving legs…even if just for preventive maintenance.

Thanks Coach and everyone else for your help. The workout was from a C.S. Sloan article. I think I just overdid it yesterday. I stretched out yesterday. My thighs are sore, but my joints feel fine. Thanks again. Keeping the faith, Solomon.
